I have the U7K. I love it. I felt like I needed more of what U7K offered over the U6K

Both good Hisense TVS. Great for the average consumer. Prices are very reasonable. 😊I will take the U7K😊.

We have the 75 u7k and we love it we do watch lots of TV on there it very bright color we have it mount on the wall with Govee light strip

This tv made me a believer in Hisense products...I have an 85" U7k and it is impressive

I live in Thailand and saw a review of an A55H or K with sound with built in sound bar and a woofer on back for 60 Watts total. I like to replace my old TV with tiny soeakers with a U8K or theA7K if available here but can't seem to find. A have 1G FiberOptic internet and want to get 4K movies etc. Good video without 15 minutes of fluff.

Thanks Steve as always! I was looking to replace my 55" LG 3D TV (2011 model) in the spare room since it is older and has 2 out of the 3 HDMI ports no longer working. A little hesitant however because any new TV that I buy won't be 3D. The Hisense is a definite consideration. I do movies and games mostly. Here in Canada at least, you have to be careful, there is the U68K and the U68KM which are different but not priced too far apart (less than $100 difference as of this writing). The U78KM looks good but is priced at $800 Canadian for the 55" model right now, and at that price, there are other TV's that might be worth looking at. Appreciate you covering these models. I hope the longevity of Hisense is decent.

Get the U8H 55” …I have had $4000 TVs before. U wont believe how good that tv is. U88H is 2022 flagship its MINI LED, incky black 120hz n the 55” will have 384 local dimming. N it will have the same chip as the U78Km. But it will have best blooming control. I saw someone posted on line raving about it getting it for like $550. U78KM is d BEST U CAN do for ENTIRE TV 2023 line up at that price level. It’s -MINI LED. SONY X90L is NOT even mini LED (but GENERIC QLED). Only Sony x93L x95L has mini led. If u can Find a U8H do the U88H…that was the panel lottory . If cant the u78Km are d best bet. Also the TCL 750G, which is d same panel as TCL Q7. That panel has VERY HIGH contrast ratio. The U78Km has much prettier more glorious vibrant color , the TCL might have more artificial color. But both GREAT. I dont know other brands that doing --MINI LED at that price level. They will have QLED but diff tier.

I purchased the U6 65" and I will say that the 60hz refresh rate kills this TV. Granted the picture is phenomenal and is crisp and clear. But when there is quick movement, there is A LOT of stutter. Gaming suffers horribly. I would definitely recommend paying a little extra for the better refresh rate. Also, the U6 does not support HDR10. I have an Xbox Series X and when going through the settings, the Xbox does NOT detect an HDR10 + display. But like you said, for the everyday user and the non gamer, you can't go wrong with it. I am going to either upgrade to the U7 or U8 very soon.

you should go for the u6k if: your trying to spend less and only if your getting the 55”. the 55” is less than $400 which is an amazing price for this level of tv. if your looking to get something larger like the 65”and spend a bit more money then get the u7k. makes no sense to get the u6k in 65”logically at these prices since the u7k is just a bit more and it’s noticeably better than the u6k at the bigger size

I need some good HDR settings for the U7K gaming and streaming 🙏

As of 12/11/23 in 55" screen size the U8k is only $80 more than the U7k at $699 USD vs. $628. That should crater sales of the U7k. My budget is $500 right now so I'm going for the TCL Q7...But yes I'd go for the U8k if I would wait another month😂

Hey everyone, I'm considering buying a Hisense TV, and I'm torn between the U6K Pro and the U7K models. We recently bought the U7K and when it comes to streaming, 4K discs and overall HDR content, it is a fantastic looking tv. But when it comes to our cable television content, we just cant get anything to look good. I get that content on cable is so compressed that the quality is not good compared to most everything else but our old bottom of the barrel $400.00 4k tv did a better job at making cable tv/SDR content look better than the U7K. Love the tv except for this one frustrating aspect.

The TCL isn’t mini led, there’s 2 TVs on this video and you failed to mention which one you’re referring to, if you watch the example I shared I’m sure you will know which one has the best colors

I'm really interested in purchasing the TV but I'm coming from an OLED which is way more expensive and I want similar picture quality which I know is impossible without spending way more money but on a budget. I was trying to get a TV that had great highlights in HDR and did not look down. For example, on the Samsung Q60C the highlights were dimmer in HDR because of the niche rating on the TV. So at a thousand nits I was just making sure that the U7K don't be vision. HDR picture did not look washed out. For example, the TCL q7 d highlights are not very bright and the picture is a lot darker and don't be vision. I was trying to avoid that

@Kenpocalypse that TCL is LED technology but coming from a OLED you’re doing some major downgrading and looking to be unhappy. I would be looking at the TCL qm8, Hisense U8K, Sony x90L or higher. Otherwise be realistic of the decision you’re making

I got it like 2 days ago. The viewing angles have no issues. There's an ever so slight shift in how bright it looks, but you'd have to actively change your viewing angle at the moment to see it. If you can, I suggest you go look at it in a store to see for yourself

I’m in the minority here, but I don’t see the U7K being worth the extra $150 over the 6. Obviously money not an object, then yes, go for the better specs but in real world viewing and black levels, I really do t see it. I have enough to get the 7, but I think I’d rather get the 6 and have money left over to buy a UHD player and a movie.

Big difference in brightness between 600 nits - poor- and 1000 nits- somewhat reasonable. This only applies to daytime viewing brightness levels. In the dark irrespective would be fine. 144hz refresh rate better for 4k gaming - PS5 / Xbox series s+x.

I agree. I also think people forget that there are almost no PS5 or Xbox Series X/S games that run at 120FPS at NATIVE 4k. They usually use upscaling, sacrifice frames, or have a 120FPS mode in a lower resolution. Most of it is theoretical, but very very few games take full advantage of that.

I got a 75" u6k for 570$, the u7k 75" tv is twice the price at around 1k$. For now in late 2024 u6k is the better value.

Its no wonder really that you prefer Vivid mode. To me, HDR basically took everything that was good about vivid and removed all the bad, as well as better darks. Never liked "warm" mode and never will. Cheers

@@TechSteve I had a look into outdoor tv but as I live in Australia we don’t have the luxury of buying an affordable outdoor tv here as they are around $3000 plus for a 55 inch. I would say 95% of the Australian population run indoor tv outside due to that issue, plus we pretty much have sun all year round in Western Australia

These days, I wouldn't recommend settling for anything under 1000 nits. Just not worth the few hundred in savings over the many years of viewing ownership.

dolby vision is BS. I used it for few months and its just a dim image. nothing looks good on dolby. I had to disable it and fintune the tv to get a decent looking picture

I bought u6kq then u7kq both of them are not suitable for watching Dolby Vision and HDR the image is faded and lacks color Waste of money, better to buy OLED or good QLED The TVs are suitable for watching HDR OLED test demos on KZread, NOT FOR MOVIES I'm dissapointed
