Thank you for spreading the message that this song brings. Nightwish changing minds and hearts one person at a time. Everyone on this planet needs to see this masterpiece. Then maybe they will realize that we are all in this together. Flying a rock through space with too little regard for how fragile it is. Unfortunately, mankind is still working on the civilized part.

Not only see and listen, the most difficult part of it, is undestanding it, where we came from and how long ago our story begins, as humans and where we are going. That doesent look bright, or maybe few big flashes, and we are all gone.As in lyrics say, those mushroom shaped clouds, used only twice against people, but we dont know, when we see those again, and it`s going to be last what we see, lots of clouds, mushroom shaped, and then ????

Great reaction guys! You were wondering who Lucy was. Well Lucy is a 3.2 million-year old fossil skeleton of a human ancestor, infact it's currently the oldest human ancestor specimen ever found, and was discovered in 1974 in Hadar, in the Afar region, Ethiopia. That's where the line "Little Lucy Of The Afar", in the song refers to.

The GsoE is the last song in Nightwish's 2015 album "Endless Forms Most Beautiful". This album is one of a trilogy, although it didn't start out that way. Tuomas Holopainen (NW keyboardist, lyricists, poet, composer...) felt he had more to say on the topic of humans, nature and music. But he didn't know how to proceed. After the EFMB concert tour ended, Nightwish took a sabbatical to pursue their personal projects, relax and refresh. At that point, Tuomas, his wife Johanna Kurkela, and NW's multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Troy Donockley started working on their joint project entitled "Auri". While composing and writing the music, Tuomas became inspired and found his path of continuing the subject matter of the EFMB album. Thus sprang the second album entitled Human :||: Nature which was released during Covid. When the world opened up again after Covid, the band toured the H:||N album. By then, Tuomas had already written the third album of the triology. During the tour, the band worked on massaging the music and the lyrics. In Fall 2023, the band recorded the album and it will be released sometime in 2024. Nightwish has hung their spurs for an indeterminate time and are on sabbatical. They decided not to tour the 3rd album of which the title has not been released yet to my knowledge. Anyways, there are gorgeous songs in the 2015 Endless Forms Most Beautiful album and I highly recommend a listen to all of them. As for the Human :||: Nature album, it comes with two discs. The first disc is the band (Human) playing and singing. The second disc is an orchestral piece written by Tuomas as his love letter to Nature. It is about 30 minutes long and absolutely gorgeous. You'll only hear Floor vocalizing and Troy's bagpipes and flutes, along with the orchestra. Tuomas & Nightwish approved a fan video for the 2nd disc which most reactors use instead of the official lyric video because the video matches the music perfectly: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hKKDxrNuh7HAes4.html. Please keep the NW reactions coming. I enjoyed listening to both of you! Cheers!

You have discovered the beauty and complexity that is Nightwish with our beloved Metal Goddess Floor and our Metal Mozart Tuomas (keyboardist) who writes most of Nightwish’s music! The whole band from Emppu (Guitarist), Troy (pipes), Kai (drummer), Marco (bassist) …although Marco is on a break from the band…I have loved all of the lineups of this band that has been around since the’90s. I love the line, "Not a single one of your fathers died young." What are the odds that _none_ of your tens of thousands of ancestors died young, but lived long enough to keep their genes moving through the species? You wouldn't be here at all without that streak of luck.

This, without any doubt, is THE most important song of mankind of all times. It makes you concious of who you are, and the place you are in. And our place in this world. This should be played at the opening ceremony of every new semester at highschools and or universities. It is a masterpiece that surpasses Mozart, Beethoven and all of that. It is the ultimate song about us people. Amen.

The title of the issue is taken from a 2009 book by evolutionary biologist and atheist writer Richard Dawkins, about the evidence for biological evolution. Dawkins also contributes to the album. Holopainen explained to HMV in March 2015: "I wrote him a letter a little over a year ago and explained what ideas we had for this album, mainly about evolution. Since one of the songs goes straight to one of his books, it felt like a perfect match to try and recite him on the album. A few weeks later, he sent me an email accepting the invitation." "Later in 2014, we recorded his parts at Hats Off Studios, Oxford. This is a huge honour for us, as Dawkins is one of our greatest heroes and his writings have been a huge inspiration for the album."

There are lot's of hidden treasures in this master piece. Guys, have a nice christmas and a h(e)a(v) pp y new year.🤘🎄 ( And yes ,you'r right ; The Truth Hurts 😉 )

From the evolution of the universe, to the evolution of life, to the evolution of society. Such an ambitious song. And like Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins helps people realize that science, knowledge, can also be spiritually fulfilling, and awe inspiring. I like how you broke it down. Lucy is the oldest find we have that shows a transition to walking on two legs, a fossil with both chimp and human characteristics. And ratkind refers to the idea that humans ultimately evolved from something that was much akin to a rat. So when we wipe ourselves off the planet, there is a chance that the rats will inherit the earth

Lucy (Australopithecus afarensis) is not the oldest human remain we've found but she's the most famous one. She was discovered in Ethiopia 1974 and she lived 3.2 million years ago and are a mix between human and other ape. She was about a meter high and looked a lot like they non human apes but she had more human-like spine, knees and pelvis due to walking upright. She's seen as one of our human ancestors. Humans closest relatives are Bonobos and Chimpanzees. 🤓🇸🇪

Most people who react to this song. Have no idea what it is about. I my self have a interpretation for my self, but you my friend spoke about it with passion and great understanding of it. Keep doing what you are doing its refreshing to actually see people who appreciate art. Nightwish is a but a small band in the grand scheme of things and it should be so much bigger then it is. Floor is a GODDES amongst musicians highly underrated and unknown, and is such a damn shame in the grand scheme of the music industry. I see u've already reacted to some other musicians from the pantheon of music gods like Dimash and Ren so i'll bid you farewell on your journey trough this wonderful rabbit holes. You should check Lara Fabian if you have time. She is one of Dimash's inspirations and she is a great musician in her own right.

"Pulls the newborns around the fire" newly formed planets being pulled into orbit around the sun? "Cold dark vastness" space? This is what I'm getting from these lyrics

Maybe it's time to meet 5 beautiful ladies in high heels and dresses playing classic heavy metal? For starters, I recommend the song Break the Wall from their earlier albums. Boasting over 70 hit singles, they won Best New Metal Band at the Metal Hammer Awards in 2018. The girls play heavy, thrash, power and prog metal, they also have some beautiful ballads. Nightwish Army south Brittany France reporting. "We Were Here", yes, I was there. Great reaction, I hope you listen again, now to make it a race thing. I've seen a lot of black reactions to Nightwish, sometimes it feels that it's just a a way to get likes, but you really seemed to enjoy that, and obviously doing research understood what it was about. But look at the Nightwish (Epica, Ayreon and more) audience, it's white, so where are the black bands doing any genre of metal, they must exist, so where are the black reactors promoting them? Metal, like pop, rap, soul, rock, etc, shouldn't be limited to one race. Subscription added, keep up the good work. The god of gaps basicly refers to theology/religion as a whole. All of it/them.
