What better way to conclude the year as to recapture one of its outstanding highlights by revisiting Finnish Symphonic Metal legends NIGHTWISH taking the likewise legendary Wacken Open Air by storm? After being decorated with triple platinum status in Finland as well as gold status in numerous European countries (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, among others) for their most current studio masterpiece »Imaginaerum« and following the highly successful release of their very own fantasy motion picture »Imaginaerum by Nightwish«, the band is closing in its cycle of the `Imaginaerum World Tour´ with a festival triple -- Wacken Open Air being the first of those final shows. Don't expect every Nightwish song to be like this. Every song is different and each one an adventure. Try any live performances from different concerts and you'll hear how versatile they are.
Welcome to the wide and varied world of Nightwish. General Gabriel will be along to give you an indepth story of this wonderful band. Every musician in this band is an extremely talented professional and they all play for the song, making the whole greater than the sum of its parts. I hope you continue to explore Nightwish because any one song barely scratches the surface of what they can do. Each song is different, and there isn't a bad song in the bunch. I have a personal favorite "next song" and it is "Romanticide" live at this same concert - Wacken 2013. If you decide to do that one be sure to grab the video marked "correct speed". There is a lag problem with the official video. And, really, any song you choose to do next will be wonderful, that I promise.
Theres a bad audio version which slowed the song by a tick and. This was painful to listen to if you know the song.

In the 2022 live performance of The Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort Floor carries the final note at a D6 for 12 seconds.
Something screwy with your sound....there's an echo in the music.

There is some 5/8 and 6/8 timing in that song but most of it is 4/4. I've been a professional percussionist for over 40 years.. plus ive got the sheet music for this song.
Music does a bit disturbing echo as it plays from speakers.
