HUGE listeners rise up, I've listened to or watched every single episode at least three times because when I have nothing else to listen to I just put The yard episodes on while playing video games, and also I always have the 2-3 most recent episodes downloaded on my phone ! That way I can avoid any presence of thoughts in my head !

yeah i'm also in that boat, i've listened to every ep like maybe 5 times on average, less on the premiums though. its just a good show and i don't need to pay super attention to it. though its at the point where i cannot listen to the old episodes anymore because i'm just too aware of every bit and how each conversation goes,

I'm glad they bring up how good Joshy bears is at melee lol. i feel like a lot of Yard viewers who don't follow or play melee might think he's a similar skill to the Yard boys, which is to say pretty damn good, but not world class. but no lol, Josh is legitimately one of the absolute best in the world. "19th in the world" might even sound kinda low to some people who don't know about melee, because they might think only top ten matters, but bro... there are so many amazing players now that there are basically like 25+ top ten players, but of course only ten can get ranked in the top ten, because that's how numbers work. Joshman is a top ten level player easily

Im from Dublin and Barry Keoghan is from an area where that accent is very common. Hes regular accent is the same as this but less extreme. Hes obviously learned to tone it down for media and international audiences. Not everyone would talk like this but it is common

you guys are right, the yard was my matrix for two years. it’s freaky the chunks of old episodes that i can remember almost transcript-perfectly

did not expect Irish accent discourse but as an Irish person it was interesting to see them acknowledge the different types

To answer slimes question about what I like about the yard, it’s honestly the chemistry between the 4 of you that I enjoy so much. So many relationships in other shows feel so fabricated but you guys actually like each other, your banter is funny and interesting to listen to.

I am a big yard listener, I've been listening for quite a while and I have listened to a huge chunk of the eps back multiple times. I think you guys do a great job of keeping each story intertwined so that you have people's attention for majority of the podcast, but its also nice to go back and just have as background noise sometimes. You guys are doing great! I like that you guys do those little introspective moments because its good to chenk in once in a while, and letting the audience in on how yall are feeling about the content you guys create lets us what to expect. I think each year in the beginning of the year you guys get a little "what are we doing with this podcast" and like every other year you guys have kept continuing to make great content so I wouldn't sweat it too much.

From Ireland, we have literally different accents in every corner of Ireland. In dublin there's posh accent and the poor one (the one barry keoghan was doing), probably more there obviously but yeah, none of us other counties like dublin xD

I am 100% one of those background loopers. The cadence of melee + bits + bants is perfect comfort food.

leg cramps can also be from dehydration instead of lack of electrolytes, so if ur leg is cramping from physical activity, drink electrolytes, if its cramping because youve been out all day and not drinking just drink some water, different situations

I've listened to a lot of podcasts throughout the years and I think that y'all stuck with me because the friendship dynamics between you all were palpable even from the beginning, like it was clear you knew each other well. And also you're very funny.

if it helps at all slime, i love the show. im not the coolest guy but im here! and i watch the episodes on a loop because i fall asleep to them at night. by this point, i know all the stories and all the bits but i still put you guys on because it’s something that i know will take my mind off of my anxiety and i can have a giggle before i fall asleep. i think as humans it’s really hard for us to see the value in anything we do, even if it is something as big and as societally “successful” as the yard, it can still be hard to fight off the existential dread telling you that you’re dumb for putting yourself out there in such a visible way. you guys have established an environment that is extraordinarily self aware and the majority, if not, all, of the people who enjoy the show are watching because it’s just really fucking good, not because anyone is blindly following what you four do. being a yard enjoyer means having the nuance and wisdom to understand that you guys are never going to be perfect role models but you’re four people who can come together and make pretty much anyone laugh, which is beyond the capabilities of most people walking this earth. you guys struck gold when you became friends and i am glad i am one of the people who gets to laugh along every week.

I think the pod is just good, and I have been listening since I think ep like 40~ and this, ludwig, and Chuckle Sandwich are the only youtube channels that I've consistently watched every upload of for the last 2 years

I honestly look forward to Thursdays because of The Yard. As a cubicle slave, it's nice to have a podcast to listen to that caters almost exactly to my sense of humor to make the day fly by.

To touch on the meta segment, I think the show is in a great place. Obviously the guest episodes have a novelty to them. They're very interesting and funny, which may be more attractive to a wider audience. The "everyday" episodes are some of my favourites. I dont think there needs to be a specific high effort hook like a planned segment or a guest in order to make the show enjoyable. For instance I thought this episode was engaging and funny. The boys just talking produces some of the funniest moments because you're genuinely funny people. :)
