Well now I am friends with her and her husband and I send them links to the videos all the time. BTW I AM a black guy. Very beautiful music

RIP: Found out Japanese Dance Teacher and Fan Dancer in this video Azuma Sumako II passed away in July 2020 after a long bout with cancer. Funny when this song hit Hiroshima made their first appearance I think, (about 1988-1989?) in Honolulu and played this song and surprisingly Azuma appeared and did her Fan Dance just like the video, with the fan-flip too, ha. She floated so gracefully in command with precise hand movements yet making everything look so effortlessly. After the song ended I looked around and the audience were in awe, stunned, quiet, didn't realize what we just saw, such a rare occurrence, Azuma dancing to this new song we only saw *glimpses* of on VH-1. (Along with her dancing/choreography on their first video "San Say") Remember there *weren't* any KZread or Google back then to find out about Hiroshima. I was younger then and didn't Appreciate as much as I should have what a great Japanese dancer, taught by her mom, a legendary dance teacher in Japan, *what I was really watching.* Life is short, what a memory to know I was lucky to see her dance to "One Wish" in real life.....Amazing! Hard to describe you just had to *Be There* while she was Dancing to the song, really, it was like she was *gliding in a dream, Beautiful!* a quote: *"i stopped and blinked my eyes and i let the moment pass me by"* Life is *short,* live now....

I swear my daugther was reincarnated after being Japanese in another life. She grew up drawing anime, learned Japanese, but she never heard your music. After playing it, I would hear some of your music while she drew and painted her anime pics. She is now 30 years old. As I listen to One Wish, I remembered meeting you and having you sign my CD and T-Shirt at the November 2021 Jazz Legacy Foundation Festival in Hampton VA. You signed my CD and took a picture with me. I lost my husband that year I heard your music live. That same year and whenever I hear "His Gentle Heart" on the CD I cry every time because he loved your music also. I know that 2022 is your last year touring, but you will be involved in music education, and I thank you for it.

This was the video that first made me aware of Hiroshima back when I was still a child and simply couldn't get enough of it! Apparently my father (RIP) also thought as much and ended up adding 3 of their '80s CDs to his music collection, of which jazz pretty much represented the bulk of it. I have since inherited them after his unexpected passing several months ago as well as bought the rest of the band's Arista and Epic releases for good measure. Out of that bunch, their first two Arista albums (1979 Self-Titled debut and 1980's 'Odori'), their 1983 Epic debut 'Third Generation', 1985's 'Another Place' (where this song originated from), and 1992's Providence are my personal favorites. LEGENDARY fusion band from my LA hometown, folks! 😊💓👌

I've heard this song long time ago on 94.7 The WAVE when I was in high school, and I love this song too! It is such a great song that reminds me of Japanese culture, which includes the games they work on and create and anime. And when I mentioned the games they work on and create, I'm talking about the great game franchises from Nintendo, Sega, Namco, Square Enix, Tecmo, Konami, and Capcom, which they are best known for! This is why I must state that video games, anime, music, and any movies that are one of the greatest ever made are things what really inspires me. They even inspire me to follow my dreams and never give up no matter what, and of course, keep a positive attitude. ^_^
