Whoa whoa whoa! Diggory was not just a babysitter now. He witnessed the very creation of Narnia, saved his mother by bringing home a fruit that healed her, planted the seed of that fruit, and built the wardrobe himself from the tree it produced.

You should do a video where people send in their odd/unique old family names! I was tracing back my family (all the way to the 1400’s!) history and found some odd names my family used. These four stood out the most: Constance, Patience, Obedience, and Mourning. Yes, Mourning like a loss of someone/something. And these were all used as first names over 100 years ago!

Loved these names. Diggory is so cute and Sylvan (although I would probs pronounce it syl-vun rather than van). Not maybe as hipster but very folky is Laurence/Laurie. Has so much Little Women connections but also linked to the Laurel tree/leaf so feels v natury and folky
I would love to see what you come up with for a video on traditional names! So curious to hear some pros of using traditional names and some traditional names people may be sleeping on

SJ you’re so gorgeous inside and out! 🌷
Dante reminds me of a character by that name in the book 'Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe'. He's described as a boy who loves books, poetry and stargazing so I don't really associate the name with darkness.

I worked with a young guy name Lyric before. I thought this would fit perfect on this list too. It makes me think of a Lyre which is a musical instrument like a harp used by folk singers back then.

Well Sorin is the name of a character on a popular Netflix cartoon. He’s the son of one of the main villains where he undergoes a transformation of either being loyal to his father or his kingdom. He’s a knight.

An Arthurian legend list would be magical! A lot are similar to popular names (Arthur, Morgan) whilst others are fantastically different

Added to my list! Larkin - gender neutral (I could imagine a little Larkie nickname)
Larkin/ Larkyn has been on my list for a while for a girl, love it!!! 💕
First time I see a name similar to mine on your lists! I'm so happy! Fernando(a) has a beautiful meaning, boldness to achieve peace in portuguese, and I was named after my father, Carlos Fernando
I watch these for writing . I have a suggestion for fruity/tropical/refreshing names if you haven’t? I’m co-working on a story series with fruit-names currently and need more help with finding names for the characters. Plus I think it’s a sweet idea.
Larkin reminds me of Link Larkin from Hairspray, so it has a musical connection also if you're into doing a new musicals list? One of my favourites from this list 😍
Could you do your makeup routine video?
I love Diggory, it reminds me of the main character from the Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis.
I would love a baby name video with more ethnic names 🥰 maybe a series ?

We named our wee boy born last April Byron. We got a few raised eyebrows in the beginning but now we get lots of compliments on his name. Love Larkin from this list x
I immediately think of Lore. Both like Folklore or a body of traditions but also the meaning is crowned in laurels. The nickname Lorrie(Lorie) seems very fitting with the laurence/Laurie/Laura/Lauren vibe thats popular
Can you do Pagan inspired Names Or fairy
I’d love if you did a video on baby names that are created from regular words. Ex. Story, Noble, Journey, etc ☺️
I love Lakyn for a girl. I don’t know the meaning but could be the girl version of Larkin and works as a unisex name too

I really like Ferdinand! it's one I always forget about because it's so rarely on lists but I do really love it.
I used to host baking camps for kids and once, a brother and sister came in named Lemon and Satchel. I also used to work with a Scotia and her brother’s name was Lachlan (pronounced lock-lin). Love both!
I recently added the name Fennec (like the fox) to my list and I think it would fit nicely on this list. Also Van! Gives me travels in a motor home vibe 😍
Omg I can’t wait for a girl version!
I love Sylvan! I’m pregnant with a surprise gender baby and we still don’t have a boy name set. My husband actually said he likes Marlow/Marlowe for a girl or boy! I love it for a girl and think it works for a boy too, but I personally wouldn’t want to name a boy a name that is significantly more popular for girls
Have you done a review on the name Leilani (lay-lar-nee) for a girl? It’s Hawaiian and a flower. As I really really adore that name and want to name my daughter who I’m currently pregnant with. It’s so beautiful but I’d love to hear your thoughts on the name and naming a non Hawaiian child a Hawaiian name ☺️
I have always loved the name Sorrel. I think it’s lovely for a boy or a girl but I like it best for a boy. I also met a little boy about 30 years ago called Meirel or Mierel (mee-rel) and it always stuck with me. I also love the name Skye for a boy (after the Scottish island) and Farr for a girl (it’s a place in Scotland, but also has the lovely distance to travel feel).
Laureate is a current favorite of mine, it's a little more out there, but I think it fits with the vibe of this list
I love Diggory! My husband would never go for it. I know someone here in the US who named her baby boy Diggory. She has a daughter named Beatrice. Dreamy pair. 😍
Where is your shirt from! It’s so cute!
Farren means wanderer, and I think the soft F plus the wren sound would be popular for both
I love unique and historical names. I’ve always planned my baby names but now I’m with my Fiance he hates every one of my names as he thinks there too out there (even my reigned in ones) and I don’t like his, there very popular names and he doesn’t understand why I don’t want a name from the top 10. How do you find an in between?
@emmilyn362
3 жыл бұрын
Maybe you could use a name that is a bit out there but still similar to a more popular name and doesn’t sound too unfamiliar. I wouldn’t use rare spellings though. Maybe experiment with nicknames.

Maybe go with a family name? Not a recent family member but someone from several generations ago? My sister used our great grandmother's given name and maiden name on her kids, even though we never knew her. What a fascinating list today. I really like Ferdinand with nickname Ferdi.
My Great Grandmothers name was Era (Ear-rah) Theora (Thee-ora). I have never heard either of these names used anywhere else before. But I think they hit both the folk and hipster vibes here. Era means wind or awake guardian. Theora means thinker or watcher. The meaning together a watchful guardian I think is a very wise name for a little girl. Love the vid! My favorite name this time has to be Sorin. With Rin as nickname.

I loved this list!!!! My baby names list so far ive been looking at earthy names that arent too used. My girl middle name choices are literal names for nature except a few and my boy middle name choices are after greek gods/titans who dont get too much love but are also based in nature as well. The idea was I want my kids names to form an actual sentence in meaning a story really. Also I had a student once her mother was Welsh and the little girl's name was Seren which is welsh for star so seeing Soren reminded me of that and I love both Seren and Soren as names
