HIP HOP FAN Slayer - Raining Blood (REACTION!!!)

"Raining Blood" is a song by the American thrash metal band Slayer. It is the final track on their third studio album, "Reign in Blood," which was released in 1986. The song is considered one of Slayer's signature tracks and is often cited as one of the greatest thrash metal songs of all time.
"Raining Blood" is known for its aggressive guitar riffs, fast-paced drumming, and intense lyrics. The lyrics were written by Slayer's guitarist Jeff Hanneman and describe a scene of raining blood and chaos. The song is often associated with its iconic guitar solo and has become a staple in Slayer's live performances.
Slayer, formed in 1981, is widely regarded as one of the "Big Four" thrash metal bands alongside Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax. They have had a significant impact on the development of thrash metal and extreme metal genres.

Saw Slayer perform this live a bunch of times. People LOST their minds. They would deliberately extend that spooky opening for as much as 3 minutes some shows just to build the anticipation as much as humanly possible. When it ended and they went to it people went insane. One show I literally got football tackled by a dude who threw my ass back about 10 feet all the while screaming "SLAAAAAAAAAAAYERRRRRRRR!" After he helped me to my feet we put our arms around each other and screamed every word of this song like our lives depended on it. Good times.

Agreed. the entire album is great, even though it clocks in at under half an hour. There is no break between the songs such as is between Reborn and Postmortem.

As someone who was lucky (and old) enough to have seen them on this tour I can verify that your assessment was 100% correct, this was to date (and I’ve spent 3 decades since then going to deathcore shows) the most violent pit I’ve ever been in. And the intro was the most amazing I’ve ever seen with the rain over the speakers then one spotlight on Kerry King starting that riff and a second spotlight on Jeff Henneman as he joins in and then strobes and all hell breaking loose as everyone kicked in. One hell of a great memory, thanks!

OMG! I can tell you first hand how crazy the audience got at Slayer concerts!. I was living in Minneapolis and somehow ended up with 2 free tickets to go see these guys downtown at Princes bar "1st Ave". My brother, a guitarist was into them, so thought why not? At first my girlfriend and I were watching from upstairs. This was era of Mosh Pits and people were going nuts. Bodies flying everywhere!!Well, the bathrooms were downstairs, next thing you know both of us were swept up in this pit. I looked over, my best friend was flat on her back and then BOOM I went flying on top of her! It was insane! I wouldn't have missed that experience for the world!! 🤣🤕😬🤘
