Slayer 1986 Lineup Tom Araya: Bass / vocals Jeff Hanneman: Lead guitars Kerry King: Lead guitars Dave (G.O.A.T.) Lombardo: drums. This album raised the bar in the metal genre. Without this album...bands like Death would never have sprung up from the grave. They had line up changes after Seasons In the Abyss. Dave was removed from the band, and replaced by Paul Bostaph.

When this song came out I heard it and I listened to these lyrics and my heart broke for the victims of this sadistic event. And that was what the point to all of this was in this song. To the idiots at the time that thought this was some kind of anthem or tribute? Us metal heads would ridicule them mercilessly. Slayer wasn't endorsing this, they were outright destroying the idea that any of this was less than pure evil. I have always respected Slayer for this.

Vola, you did this track (and Raining Blood) the best justice there could be! You appreciated the intensity and didn’t shy away from it! Your head banging says it all😂! If you feel that intensity (which is every slayer song…), it’s hard not to bang your head🤘🔥! Like others have said, it’s a short album, so honestly I would listen to it all the way through in one go, but I know you need to break it up for videos. There are so many songs to recommend from them, but others have already stated the main ones. One I haven’t seen requested (or maybe I’ve missed it) is Hell Awaits (the song off the album of the same name). Your mother might have a fit, but man is it a banger. I won’t spoil anything but it is worth the build up🤘! The live version from the “10 years of aggression” album is arguably even better imo. Regardless of where you go on this journey, enjoy the ride and take breaks when necessary to preserve your neck😂🤘🔥!! Rock on my new friend!!

A few fun facts about SLAYER and the album. 1st the band had just signed with Rick Rubin's Def Jam records which had mostly hip hop and rap artists in their catalog so everyone thought Slayer were finished, 2nd the album is only 26 minutes long which was very short at the time. SLAYER to me is the most honest bands out there. Their live shows are what you expecting. Saw them twice they came in greeted the audience, played their setlist and said goodnight. EPIC

"Who would say it?" It actually happened. It's about a particular Nazi whose name I won't utter that committed these heinous crimes against innocent men, women and children; Jews specifically. I'm always a bit conflicted listening to this song because I lost most of my family in the holocaust, but damnit it rocks! Ultimately, the song is important because it doesn't glorify what occurred, it recounts it and educates future generations on the absolute horrific monsters people can be. If we don't learn from history, we're doomed to repeat it.

"These guys have no mercy . . ." It's funny you should mention this. Their debut album was titled Show No Mercy.

You've definitely got the best reactions to Slayer of anyone I've seen. I'd point you to God Hates Us All as a song, different than any other reaction out there for these guys, and it's amazing. Dead skin mask would be another. Well done bro, keep it up 🤘🤘🤘
