@@LongReachOne I love how people do reactions to music they wouldn't normally listen too. Brings out learning each other cultures because like the "hip hop" culture, their is a metal culture as well. I like how they just jump into it, but I think they need to understand that just because Slayer sings about some evil stuff, that it doesn't mean they are devil worshippers and things like that. I don't think they will do another Slayer song. Angel of Death would have been a good song or even Dead Skin Mask or Mandatory Suicide.

I don't care about it being a contender for "extremest metal" or not. 90% of black metal tr00 shit out there is no match for Slayer's technicality, specially what they've achieved in RIB (the album as a whole, very well represented by individual bangers like Angel of Death, Postmortem and Raining Blood). I really listen and enjoy "extreme metal", I know the scene inside out and backwards so, any "BM heroes/justice warriors" who got triggered: save your time and don't try to school me. That's that.

A lot of the songs are more than stories, it’s about real shit that happened in history like ww2 and different wars and serial killers. They’re like a darker side of history story tellers. lol

I am 47 years old and I saw this band when I was 13 and this is always been my favorite song. I broke my wrist to this song in the mosh pit and it is one of my greatest memories. It’s too bad they retired because I would love to see them again and take my wife and daughter to see slayer perform live absolutely one of my best childhood memories

Sadly they retired and you can never know the joy of a live show. Have listened to slayer since the 80s.

Seen them live twice, once at a medium size amphitheater and then again at knotfest. The difference between the two venues was night and day. I'm glad I got to see them at the festival, the difference in energy was absolutely insane. Cheers PV.

Slayer was too much for me at first but it was their first album that really got me into them and eventually their harder stuff grew on me. I suggest Crionics. Or Face the Slayer/Metal Storm. South of Heaven is such a groove. Chemical Warfare is their best song tho imo

Chemical Warfare is just a great song, though the older stuff tends to be more social criticism than satanism, so if they are going to react to any other Slayer song, they should do a song from SITA o DI albums

In the South Park episode " Die Hippies Die" this is the song the boys used to disperse the hippie jamfest.

A song sung by a vengeful fallen angel. Super evocative, aggressive and yet so melodic. Excellent choice!

You guys aren’t ready for Slayer, no new metal heads ever enjoy Slayer on the first listen, you guys have to ease your selves into them, that and just know that the Band members are all completely Normal and Friendly people and not evil Satanist, it’s just there Style of Metal 🔥🤘🏽❤️

Paul Bostaph is a much more tighter and precise drummer than Dave. I think Dave may have been faster, but he'd get just a little sloppy. Paul was a machine who never got off beat.

To be fair, in the past 40+ years, there are very few bands that use the devil worship image/lyrics that actually live that life. Mostly, as you've said, is aesthetics and shock value.

Slayers songs were based on stories. The lead singer Tom Araya is a devout Catholic. Their album Seasons in the Abyss might be more suited for you guys.

All the songs on that album is a classic 👍

For me, this was Slayer at their peak. You just can't top the Reign in Blood album!

Y'all need to give them another chance. Seasons in the Abyss, south of heaven, skeletons of society... all much easier to listen to

Holy shit you are by far the most diverse reaction channel I’ve ever seen. Entertaining as fuck and not biased at all. Even if it comes to morals, taste in art or politics

Oh god, you guys! Please don't perpetuate the tradition of superstition. It will only keep your mind closed to great art everywhere, not just in music. There are many bands who are far more dark in their imagery that it would likely blow your minds if you were so afraid of this. Lyrics are most often written from a perspective other than that of the actual person writing. If you all were able to stomach 'Am I Evil' simply because of it being a cover song than surely you can be a bit more mindful of what you're experiencing when listening to anything. I enjoy all of your reactions and love to see people broaden their horizons, especially with older stuff that isn't the current popular trend. Do yourselves a favor and at least check out 'War Ensemble' and 'Seasons in the Abyss'. If you were able to appreciate Metallica's 'Creeping Death' then you should also enjoy the biblical tone of 'Angel of Death', another Slayer "banger". I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting you guys to experience as many of the all-time greats as possible. Even if you were to listen to the "real Satanic" bands, you won't be possessed, I promise! Funnily enough despite the lyrics the singer/bassist is a practicing catholic. Think of the lyrics more like a horror movie, you can enjoy a movie about demons but that doesnt mean your trying to summon demons in the basement.

I don't really listen to music like this but this song takes me back so much man Every year there's a weekend festival at the skatepark near me in Scotland and this song would be put on where like 20 would shred this massive bowl back to back in touching distance of eachother Sh*t was pure chaos

Their lyrics are an exploration of what might be going on in the mind of people who do phucked up things.

Didnt even finish the song. But yeah its def has some crazy lyrics. And yet things you didnt know about SLAYER. The lead singer Tom Araya is a practicing Roman Catholic. So many great songs from this band. Keep on listening to them

I love metal music, truthfully all genres of music, but metal especially. Seeing people react to metal music makes me so happy, because it’s like sharing an interest with a friend!! ❤

I got to see slayer in Asheville on their last tour and it was the funnest concert I have ever been to. Glad I got to see them.

If you would like to hear a surprising video, checkout Body Count and their rendition of this Slayer song Raining Blood. The band Body Count is fronted by no other than Ice-T, yes you read that right. Ice-T has a Thrash Metal band. Their biggest hit is Cop Killer which is about a certain type of bullet which is armored piercing round. In the 90's the song was a BIG controversy and they tried to ban it because they took the song as they were trying to promote killing cops.

Slayer singer/bassist Tom Araya and drummer Dave Lombardo were interviewed separately by Christian heavy metal magazine HM (Heaven's Metal) in the 90s. Neither had anything resembling an orthodox Christian theology, but neither did they exhibit the hostility observed in their bands' lyrics, the most controversial of which were written by other band members like Kerry King or the late Jeff Hanneman. There are both secular heavy metal bands with members that have become Christian (like Megadeth's Dave Mustaine, WASP's Blackie Lawless, Hirax's Katon de Pena, and Alice Cooper) and bands that have been explicitly Christian from the start. Many of those latter bands play music styles that are as extreme as Slayer's, some even moreso. I recommend bands like Mortification, Living Sacrifice, Tourniquet, Vengeance Rising, Extol, and Antestor. Lyrics from any of those bands you should find much more compatible with your beliefs than your average Slayer song.

Oh slayer .. I swear the true initiation of going to a show with a crazy mosh pit. So intense for me when I saw them mid 90s at 9:30 club AND wearing jncos lol dumb idea btw , swear to God I had to use all my leg strength to not get pulled to the ground! Scary as hell but my adrenaline pumping,I was hooked !! 🤘

Try Megadeth please. Also "Crionics" by Slayer early Slayer the sound is so different

You might find the Slayer/Ice T collaboration for "Disorder" on the Judgment Night soundtrack more to your liking; it's basically a war protest song. I'm particularly fond of Angel of Death (about Nazi atrocities), Dead Skin Mask (about serial killer Ed Gein), War Ensemble (another war song), and my favorite: Seasons in the Abyss. I've seen Slayer live 11 times. I already miss them terribly.

I would probably go for some Annihilator (Fun Palace, Alice in hell), Onslaught (Shellshock), Xentrix (Crimes), Coroner (Sirens) or Vio-Lence (Phobophobia) - these all have more groove to it and I think you would like it way more!

My introduction song to Slayer was South of Heaven and the intro firstly really creeped me out. But I got used to it. Later I saw a documentary about the band where they said that they are really chilled guys. They just think it’s healthy to sometimes scream it all out🙏

Dude YES!!!! That song is absolutely incredible!

I like to look at lyrics like this in the way I look at a gory, horror movie. I may like it, I may not, but it's just a different form of entertainment. This song, in a different context, could be the synopsis/ plot to a dark movie that if marketed correctly, a lot of us would like to see.. like "Constantine " or something from the God of War video game series. As always, I enjoy your reactions very much and keep up the good work.

b4 any one hates on me.. soo much of old eminem is hatefull and anti religion seeing the perspective of more "pure" people is very entertaining for the less pure.

You should give my guitar gently weeps a listen as well Prince guitar solos are insane.

This is why Slayer is the only band I won't expose my kids to. But they're awesome love.

Tom Araya (the vocalist) is catholic. they just like to write horror stories and such in the format of music. All of their lyrics, imagery, etc have always been about what is evil. They aren't summoning demons or anything like that, just telling stories.

Instead of trying another Slayer song, try Anthrax - "I'm The Man". The first metal band to record a rap song. Later on they teamed up with Public Enemy to record "Bring The Noise".
