We do need to give a small nod to "Power Metal" (and the song Power Metal), which was the proto-Pantera album where you could first hear the beginnings of the "Pantera sound" 👍
It's good to see a young guy instantly recognizing what this brings to the table... The face you made says it all!
Old man here. Yes, Pantera is the pinnacle of 90's metal. They dominated the second half of the decade. They are the ONLY 90's metal act that never tried to get on the radio and got heavier with every album. They remained true to themselves and the fans until the end. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE LOL

Many don’t realize Dimebag Darrell was buried with Eddie Van Halen’s black and yellow Bumblebee guitar from the Van Halen 2 album. Eddie gave it as a final gift to him
@neilpatrickhairless

Ola Englund's trip to Darrell's guitar vault is awesome. It's like taking a trip back to when he was still alive. Almost all if not all of the guitars the guy ever used and even some he didn't are in there. I remember EVH saying that he was surprised that Dime didn't want the Frankenstein guitar, instead he wanted the guitar from his favorite Van Halen album. Eddie said he would have put the Frankenstein in with him if it were requested which is absolutely mental because that guitar is synonymous with Eddie Van Halen

I grew up in Texas when Pantera broke out. Cowboys From Hell and Vulgar Display were played religiously in the locker rooms before football games. Some of the best “get pumped and ready to hit somebody” music a 17-year old could ask for.

I always listen to Pantera when I need something heavy after a crappy day at work. Lifts my mood.
I'm 61 years old. My 12 year old son at the time,He's 25 now, comes up to me and said who are these guys. He had found my Pantera cuts in my files. He has never looked back. Hard rock all the way at this point. The cool part is He reignited my fire!🌅
Pantera is undoubtedly an amazing band. Fuck the haters.

This is how you build your channel. Listen to your subs, and follow the path. The more bands, the more fans. That aside, the main reason your channel is growing is you. There's tons of reaction channels and I'm seeing many stuck in the hundreds. Your personality and obvious enthusiasm and enjoyment is what keeps people here. More Pantera! Also Slayer. Megadeth. And obviously continue with Metallica, Maiden, and Tool. Mix it up... Have fun with it. There's post 2010 music you could do too, but I'm enjoying you discovering the roots first.

If you wanna keep doing Pantera, then I bet that Cemetery Gates will be a crowd-pleaser. You might enjoy it as well, who knows. It's an odd one out from Pantera, and quite an emotional one for that matter. Half ballad, half heavy riffage, and an ear-piercing duet of Phil Anselmo's vocals and Dimebag Darrell's (RIP) guitar one-upping each other. Pretty sure Walk and Cemetery Gates are the most well-known songs from Pantera. Probably a lot of non-metal heads also listened to a good section of Cemetery Gates, reeled in by the rather suave opening of the song. Later edit: I was thinking specifically about the 2010 remastered version of the song.
@neverdive1059

Even their ballads are heavier than heavy. Cemetery Gates and This Love are two of my absolute favorites.
Pantera shows were a blast. And Vinnie was such a cool dude during the set breaks.
It’s geezers like me that absolutely love you discovering the songs I grew up with. It’s a validation of why I loved it. I’ve seen these guys in concert with Skid Row of all bands. It was a weird concert in Miami in 91/92. Love your reaction. 😂👍
perfect place to start with Pantera!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My high school days were getting lit and listening to Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, Tool. Definitely the greatest era of music.
Saw them 5 times back in the day and I'm not one bit ashamed to say that I sat and cried like a baby when Dimebag was murdered. R.I.P. Dime and Vinnie. I'll see ya on the other side. Another great song to check out would be Imperium By Machine Head. They will be right up your alley. Been here since the beginning and I'll be here till the end brother!
Few bands can claim an eponymous "sound" and even fewer can claim the achievement of having invented a new subgenre. Pantera both has the "Pantera sound" *and* invented the "Groove Metal" subgenre. Truly original and one of the most awesome f-ing metal bands in history!
*RIP Abbott brothers. You are so missed but never forgotten!* 🤘❤🤘
Yeah, Dimebag was one of the greatest guitar players ever. ---I kinda think of him as THE Heavy Metal Eddie Van Halen... not for nothing...he was buried with one of EVH's original guitars after he was murdered on stage...RIP

These were some of the shows I was going to in 1989-1991 and what my sons (3 sons and a daughter) were raised on.... (I'm 51 years old) so it tickles me to see you coming to these tunes and feeling it! Try to remember these tunes when you look at your elders.... some of us 'old people' were moshing long before we had kids....Keep listening, there's so much more! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, there are alot of bands to check out. See that smile on your face in just a few seconds of that song. You get it. One band I'll add is Megadeth. Song: Holy Wars...The Punishment Due. Really, the whole album of Rust In Peace kicks all ass. Its pretty much one of the best albums in everyone's list. And really

Totally agree!! Rust in Peace is as good as it gets!
When this shit hit in the early 90's people went insane for it. I was into the hardcore metal scene in Detroit at the time and the representation of how insane the crowd went is 100% accurate. Now I'm just the old guy in the background at those shows but those days were incredible.
Welcome to the world of Pantera. I wish I could go back and listen for the first time.
PanterA couldn’t be touched back then. They went harder with every album they released. I’ll suggest what everyone else will. Domination Live From Moscow. Getcha’ Pull
Pantera is great! I’ll bet you’d also enjoy Anthrax and Megadeth!
Im an old 42 y.o. man that has seen this band 13 times. Theyre still my fav and i LOVE it when young ppl love them now!! Warms my old heart! Lol!😅😂😅😂
During a charity MMA fight last year, I used this for my walk out song. The POWER i felt walking out to that octagon was surreal. Amazing song, amazing band.
Pantera - Walk ... out there on its own , every single Rock / Metal fan loves this Re ... Spect 💯🔥🎸
Cowboys from Hell's main riff is probably the greatest ever committed to tape. Instant stank face
There's not a bad pantera song. Every album and every song is pure metal perfection
Seen them back in the day and my ears are still ringing from Dime's Guitar.
Welcome to Pantera. Best 90s metal band by a mile. So many crushing breakdowns and riffs. Enjoy the ride dude. Pick any song, you.wont be disappointed.
Watching you react to this song makes me relive when I first heard it back in '91. Thanks mate.
BROO YES BEST GROOVE METAL BAND EVER! Now do the whole album . Love ur videos brotha
I never missed a Pantera show in LA. Some of the best days of my life. Rip Dime and Vinny. Thanks for the memories. Black Tooth Grin

Yes! The Pantera journey begins 🤩
This album was ‘92. These guys are the reason I play music! The first time I heard them I was in 6th grade!! I’ve been a metal head ever since!!
Hell yes we're into Pantera now! 5 minutes alone and Sandblasted Skin! 🤘
Pantera kicks ass

I genuinely love how you reacted in the first few minutes of the video, my man. It was so awesome, watching that. Yes, they have that effect my friend, there the best of all time who do it, The f****** best homie! great-great reaction!
mid 90's Pantera was an insane show... crazy mosh pits!!!! Glad I got to see them a few times!
Hello mollyboy. You were right, this is from their 1992 album “Vulgar Display of Power”. Such a good album. Please also do a reaction to “Mouth For War”. It’s the first song off the album.
Your reaction is priceless. It's good to see young dudes love 90s metal. Pantera are the shit. Check out I'm broken and Cowboys from Hell
I'm envious you're getting to discover Pantera! I remember hearing this album for the first time in 1992 in high school and never looked back. We cranked this in the locker room before football (American) home games.
I'm a Brit. And this fills my heart when I see another Brit finding his Metal soul. We invented this shit.
RIP Dimebag and Vinnie! I was introduced to Pantera alllllllllllllll the way back in 1992! My introduction though was F@CKING Hostile from their album Vulgar Display of Power! The first album of theirs I bought was Cowboys From Hell! Phil is a vocal beast! Dimebag’s driving guitar just makes this a song to get hyped with!
as someone that experienced all this in highschool , I love seeing your genuine reactions, the way your eyes get wide is the same reaction we all had in that moment as well, except back then it was different in that , anytime there was a new band , what you were hearing was so original not just in lyrics but everything I dig your channel and your on the right track . this type of music could save this retched planet >>> real music > with lyrics that actually have meaning
I knew you would love Pantera . 😁
This is like seeing a rap fan hear music for the first time. Nice reaction man.
Good to see you’re still pulling in the views. I’ll have to start checking out the vids again
Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone or I'm Broken, are two of my favorite songs I've been listening to them since the beginning and they are one of the few bands I can can put all their music on shuffle and listen to all of it.
IMHO this is their best composition. Lyrically and musically.
I remember the first time I heard Pantera, it was their track 'I'm Broken' and it just changed my entire world. I never knew music could be that heavy while still being able to groove and have a melody. Still sounds as fresh now as it did back then, maybe even more these days because there's nothing else out there like them.
It's a gift to have metal in your blood, be proud young man, when done right heavy metal is the greatest music ever, PANTERA, WHEN METAL GODS WALK THE PLANET.....
This is one of the best riffs out there!!!
So many Pantera songs are bangers. Listen to them all. Don't forget the Damage Plan days. I saw them play a free concert a month or so before Dimebag died. Glad I went for sure
DOMINATION!!!!! Gotta be next up!!
My husband and I just loved your reaction! We couldn't believe you didn't hear Pantera before !! We really like you kiddo! (Your subscribers from 🇨🇦 and me the wife 🇲🇽 born and raised... listening to this kind of bands back in 🇲🇽😉) All the best!

This song has been my theme song for 20 years now 😂 welcome to the family ☺️🥰
Saw them in Dallas in 1995. Still to this day the wildest concert I've been to. In a hockey rink. Lots of ice and fire. Yup. When the lights went out shit got lit.
Pantera were something else. 100% genuine, raw, and archaic. To this day, their music goes right under your skin. So great to witness younger people feeling what we got to feel when these monsters hit the scene. If you like 90s metal, maybe check out some Stuck Mojo. Might be right up your alley.
Pantera, is my favorite live band, The music is as clean as the studio versions.
I first saw this song in like 92'. I was hooked.
Remember one thing young man. Metal has every flavor you can imagine. Whatever you need, metal has you covered.
Hollow was on the radio here in '92, then Walk, I was 17. I'm guessing everyone that reacts like you or me probably went out and bought the "Vulgar...." CD (or tape). Had to be the case, man. 'Cause when the next album came out, everyone who had heard Pantera went out and bought it the first week, if they could. "Billboard" when that was a thing, was pop or Top 40, but Pantera opened at # 1. The effect Pantera had in their prime (when all the hard rock stations had started playing mostly grunge or alternative in the early '90s) was legendary 💪 🤘
I spent the 90's as a teenager following Pantera, Slayer, Sepultura , Down, and Super Joint Ritual to concerts mostly in and around Chicago, Milwaukee, Iowa. Those shows were always fucking insane. I'm glad this music still can has a fan base and impact today. Check out those other bands I mentioned.
Loving your reactions!
Pantera (you pronounced it correctly) always hits hard. Five Minutes Alone is probably my favorite from them, but that could change. So many bangers to choose from. PANTERA = BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER!
This song is off their “Vulgar Display Of Power” album. I saw them live in concert when this song was new at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia in 1993. It was the craziest concert I have ever been too!
Hey bro been really diggin your videos since finding your channel. Pantera is a legendary band in the metal community. Dimebag was a legend well before his infamous, sad, and untimely demise. He is definitely top five or higher guitarist in my humble opinion. Anyway since you liked walk then you should absolutely check out 5 minutes alone next. Then either goddamn electric or cemetery gates. Thanks Peace.
I love these reaction videos. Makes me really wish I could go back and listen to this song for the first time.
My favorite reaction from you yet my guy. Youre genuine. Much respect.
Saw them back in '95 when they toured with White Zombie. Incredible concert. And yes, the 90's were fucking awesome. Best decade ever.
Classic reaction!!! felt your vibe!! You have discovered legends!!
Really enjoying your channel. The best part is how genuine you are. I laughed on another Pantera review where you said you don't care about the views, you are doing it anyway. Respect for that. For older guys like me who grew up with all the big metal bands, seeing you react to these songs is like taking us back to the first time we heard them and you help us re live that experience. Great fun. Although, I have to say. 30 to 40 years on and the majority of these songs still have the same effect, that's just how good they are.
Dude I love your energy. I like watching these reactions because it reminds what it was like to hear it for the first time. Not knowing what was happening and loving it!!!
Watching your reaction again, love it!! Throwing out another vote for “I’m Broken” - It’s super groovy like this one. 🤘
You must watch Pantera Domination live... one of the greatest guitar solos and sickest breakdowns ever at the end.
Great reaction,lad! ❤
Guys, just imagine this video would have been shot recently. Smartphones everywhere, just 5 people moshing and the only crowdsurfer kicked out by security 😂 Pantera was one of the bands that defined the sound of metal in the 90s. (Although they were founded in the early 80s) For me, the most important 90s bands beside Pantera: Machine Head, Fear Factory, Korn, Deftones, Rage against the Machine, Type O Negative, Carcass, Rammstein Just to name a few

@@neilpatrickhairless Ok, I actually didn't know that they were around for THAT long. And, dude, that's probably the most Metal-Chat, possible. 🤣 It's like beeing on a concert or a party, and you talking to a friend about a band, an suddenly someone appears from the side, educating you because your facts are wrong. 5 minutes later, you're spending beers for each other. And after 5 beers, you talking about starting a band together. Luv it 😂
