Old man here. Yes, Pantera is the pinnacle of 90's metal. They dominated the second half of the decade. They are the ONLY 90's metal act that never tried to get on the radio and got heavier with every album. They remained true to themselves and the fans until the end. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE LOL

Many don’t realize Dimebag Darrell was buried with Eddie Van Halen’s black and yellow Bumblebee guitar from the Van Halen 2 album. Eddie gave it as a final gift to him

Ola Englund's trip to Darrell's guitar vault is awesome. It's like taking a trip back to when he was still alive. Almost all if not all of the guitars the guy ever used and even some he didn't are in there. I remember EVH saying that he was surprised that Dime didn't want the Frankenstein guitar, instead he wanted the guitar from his favorite Van Halen album. Eddie said he would have put the Frankenstein in with him if it were requested which is absolutely mental because that guitar is synonymous with Eddie Van Halen

This is how you build your channel. Listen to your subs, and follow the path. The more bands, the more fans. That aside, the main reason your channel is growing is you. There's tons of reaction channels and I'm seeing many stuck in the hundreds. Your personality and obvious enthusiasm and enjoyment is what keeps people here. More Pantera! Also Slayer. Megadeth. And obviously continue with Metallica, Maiden, and Tool. Mix it up... Have fun with it. There's post 2010 music you could do too, but I'm enjoying you discovering the roots first.

If you wanna keep doing Pantera, then I bet that Cemetery Gates will be a crowd-pleaser. You might enjoy it as well, who knows. It's an odd one out from Pantera, and quite an emotional one for that matter. Half ballad, half heavy riffage, and an ear-piercing duet of Phil Anselmo's vocals and Dimebag Darrell's (RIP) guitar one-upping each other. Pretty sure Walk and Cemetery Gates are the most well-known songs from Pantera. Probably a lot of non-metal heads also listened to a good section of Cemetery Gates, reeled in by the rather suave opening of the song. Later edit: I was thinking specifically about the 2010 remastered version of the song.

I remember the first time I heard Pantera, it was their track 'I'm Broken' and it just changed my entire world. I never knew music could be that heavy while still being able to groove and have a melody. Still sounds as fresh now as it did back then, maybe even more these days because there's nothing else out there like them.

So many Pantera songs are bangers. Listen to them all. Don't forget the Damage Plan days. I saw them play a free concert a month or so before Dimebag died. Glad I went for sure

Saw them in Dallas in 1995. Still to this day the wildest concert I've been to. In a hockey rink. Lots of ice and fire. Yup. When the lights went out shit got lit.

Pantera were something else. 100% genuine, raw, and archaic. To this day, their music goes right under your skin. So great to witness younger people feeling what we got to feel when these monsters hit the scene. If you like 90s metal, maybe check out some Stuck Mojo. Might be right up your alley.

Hollow was on the radio here in '92, then Walk, I was 17. I'm guessing everyone that reacts like you or me probably went out and bought the "Vulgar...." CD (or tape). Had to be the case, man. 'Cause when the next album came out, everyone who had heard Pantera went out and bought it the first week, if they could. "Billboard" when that was a thing, was pop or Top 40, but Pantera opened at # 1. The effect Pantera had in their prime (when all the hard rock stations had started playing mostly grunge or alternative in the early '90s) was legendary 💪 🤘

I spent the 90's as a teenager following Pantera, Slayer, Sepultura , Down, and Super Joint Ritual to concerts mostly in and around Chicago, Milwaukee, Iowa. Those shows were always fucking insane. I'm glad this music still can has a fan base and impact today. Check out those other bands I mentioned.

Pantera (you pronounced it correctly) always hits hard. Five Minutes Alone is probably my favorite from them, but that could change. So many bangers to choose from. PANTERA = BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER!

This song is off their “Vulgar Display Of Power” album. I saw them live in concert when this song was new at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia in 1993. It was the craziest concert I have ever been too!

Hey bro been really diggin your videos since finding your channel. Pantera is a legendary band in the metal community. Dimebag was a legend well before his infamous, sad, and untimely demise. He is definitely top five or higher guitarist in my humble opinion. Anyway since you liked walk then you should absolutely check out 5 minutes alone next. Then either goddamn electric or cemetery gates. Thanks Peace.

Really enjoying your channel. The best part is how genuine you are. I laughed on another Pantera review where you said you don't care about the views, you are doing it anyway. Respect for that. For older guys like me who grew up with all the big metal bands, seeing you react to these songs is like taking us back to the first time we heard them and you help us re live that experience. Great fun. Although, I have to say. 30 to 40 years on and the majority of these songs still have the same effect, that's just how good they are.

Guys, just imagine this video would have been shot recently. Smartphones everywhere, just 5 people moshing and the only crowdsurfer kicked out by security 😂 Pantera was one of the bands that defined the sound of metal in the 90s. (Although they were founded in the early 80s) For me, the most important 90s bands beside Pantera: Machine Head, Fear Factory, Korn, Deftones, Rage against the Machine, Type O Negative, Carcass, Rammstein Just to name a few

Pantera have technically been around since the 70's, they just weren't called "Pantera" at the time. Legendary 80's club / bar / house party band in the Southern USA. Back then if Pantera didn't play your party, your party was lackin'!

@@neilpatrickhairless Ok, I actually didn't know that they were around for THAT long. And, dude, that's probably the most Metal-Chat, possible. 🤣 It's like beeing on a concert or a party, and you talking to a friend about a band, an suddenly someone appears from the side, educating you because your facts are wrong. 5 minutes later, you're spending beers for each other. And after 5 beers, you talking about starting a band together. Luv it 😂
