Today I listened to my second ever Pantera song. These guys are insane! I can't believe I had never heard of them before. Personally I can see that Metallica had an influence on their music but now I am questioning which band I prefer...

Domination is great, and all these guys are going to want to see the live Moscow performance.... but, in my opinion, the studio version of almost all Metal songs are superior. The studio version of the breakdown at the end of Domination blows the Moscow show out of the water.

@@captzero007 - I have to agree with you regarding the breakdown of Domination. Since Dime was the only guitarist in the band they would layer up guitar tracks and make use of Left and Right Stereo channels. In Domination the guitar pans from the Left and Right channels and you can really hear it when using headphones.

Ha!! Greatness. I knew you were gonna love it. I grew up in Dallas, TX and we were just old enough to be going to the clubs around the time Pantera started playing locally. We later used to hang out in the bar where this video was filmed, The Basement. Legendary stuff went on there at the hands of Pantera and their followers and we loved every minute of it!! I can't bear to think of how it all ended. So instead I will remember how great it all was, and how Darrell and Vinnie will always live on through the music. I saw the resurrection of Pantera over the summer with Metallica at Cowboys Stadium, and it was so major and so surreal and emotional, all at the same time. LONG LIVE PANTERA 🤘🏼

I really love Metallica as well and I saw them live for my 10th birthday in 2017 which was amazing, but there’s just something about pantera which is so badass, Metallica is like Spider-Man and pantera is like Batman that’s how I can describe it😂😂. It’s very sad that I will never be able to see them live with dime. I think the more you listen to pantera the more you like them so I definitely recommend listening to these songs by them: This Love (definitely listen), floods, f**cking hostile and 10s

You should react to power metal or death trap by pantera and then you can hear their full evolution from the beginning of Pantera as people know it. They had a lot of albums before Phil joined but they were much more of a hair metal band then

It is so wonderful to see the same conflict I had when I first encountered Pantera. Metalica was sort of my gateway band into metal, and Pantera sorta paved the rest of the way!

This makes me smile big. I've been listening to Pantera just as long they have been around. They're influences was:by Vinnie (drummer) Wanted to be heavy as Black Sabbath and groovy as the Texas brothers ZZ TOP.

Take it from a native Texan that was on FIRE when these kids took off. Eddie van halen put one of his guitars in his casket. RIP Dimebag and Vinnie. Love my boys.

The guitar and drummer are brothers and unfortunately Dimebag was shot and killed on stage by a unstable person.
