@@CampingwithSamBananas If you ever find yourself up near Mount Rainier national park area, there is a road called Skate Creek Rd near ashford . I have been camping there since I was a kid. There are tons of spots right off the Nisqually river. It’s not a campground it’s just spots that people of built and you’re allowed to camp there. Beautiful camp sites. Thanks Sam

Great video, Sam. I've made hobo meals like that with great success! Rather than butter, use Italian salad dressing. The oil seems to cook the contents of the packet quicker, without burns or sticking. Also, the flavor is amazing. Rock on, dude!

That's a nice peaceful place to camp. I just got back from staying in a rustic cabin for 2 nights in a state forest. I ate some good food and drank some good coffee and relaxed. It rained but wasn't cold and my fire stayed lit. Keep the videos coming.

Dude yeah I hear you! When I started I was more drawn to winter/snow camping. I still love that, but after really getting prepared for rain camping, it's actually a ton of fun. I love it! And no one else is out usually. You should try it.

Yes the prusik knot for me I found only worked real good in the rain if the line for the prusik was smaller than the Ridgeline it seemed to grab a lot better. Look like a really good meal. Looking forward to your Out West National Park videos

Ahhhhhh the prusik knot needs to be a smaller line, that actually makes a ton of sense. I just used that line because it's tarred so it has naturally more friction. But the size makes sense to. I'll have to keep that in mind.

When cooking the foil packs shovel some coals on top of the pack and it will cook twice as fast and more evenly.
