Oh my gosh!! Mark, a HUUUUGE "THANK YOU" to you for supporting our Hmong community by doing this review! I am lost for words how our Hmong community in Thailand have developed. It is unfortunate that when I visited in 2003, I was told not to say that I am Hmong because Thai people look down upon us since we are immigrants and/or refugees. Thus, many Hmong people changed their names to Thai to hide their identity. This video and the last 3 have shine light into our the Hmong people in Chiang Rai and we are just so appreciative of you!! THANK YOU! THank YOU!! Will definitely visit Lanjia Lodge when we can travel again!

From Nov-Feb is the best time to visit northern Thailand. I love to stay overnight on the mountains viewing sunset with beer and sunrise with coffee. Life of hill tribes in Thailand improves substantially with this eco tourism.

Miss your videos mark . My grandfather use to sit with us and watch your videos. He died because of cancer, you would always put a smile on his face , especially when you would eat the chillis raw, he would laugh and say oh my god 💓

This video was so good! Gives me an insight on my biological father’s town! I spoke to him 15 years ago and to this day, I always wonder about Chiang Rai. This video provide me a good insight on how his village looks like. Can’t wait for covid to be over with so I can finally visit it! And thanks to this video, I now know I can go and lodge there.

Another cool place to stay and eat. Amazing place.

As always for years I've enjoyed your videos. This one happens to be in the province where I live and work. I hike and document hilltribe villages in the mountains of Chiang Rai. I noticed considerable deforestation near your cottage during your drone shots. Air pollution is another problem. I teach these challenging issues in Social Studies classes at the #1 academic school in CR. We need to raise awareness and solutions.

Love this video so much. I’m first generation American of Hmong decent. My parents migrated to Thailand during the Vietnam war. I’ve never visited their birth home yet. Definitely keeping Lanjia Lodge on my bucket list when I plan visit for a place to stay.

One of the best I've seen. The view alone is worth the price, let alone the experience, the food, the beds... I think of American places that charge more, with nothing to offer, where there is literally nothing but a bed, a tv and a place to shower. This is worth every single penny spent. . How I long to travel some day, but since I know I will never get the chance, I can live vicariously through your amazing videos. Thank you!
