Hi Alistair, mate another great video, me and my family in southwest England are hooked. Always tricky when there’s a casualty, I cut a milk vein when shearing once and had 1 or 2 others die on me on the shearing board. It’s never nice but at least we can still be dignified and respectful. Well done

Find it hard to vac in the racewell as you have to lift every head up.
Another great video👍 what lambing percentage do you get at scanning?

Normally scan around 165 to 170 %

Its only about 6km but through Oxford, so cant walk stock there.
When Alistair said "the little vagina lip thingy" I blushed a little bit 😂😂

Do they still sell the narrow combs? I used to find them very handy for crutching. They shouldn’t be any slower. I probably went faster with them as there was less risk of accidentally nicking them.

Yea they do. I use them for lambs.
You mentioned that some of the cattle were BVD ones? Is NZ running any eradication?

Not a national eradication program its down to the individual farmers.

@@kiwifarmernz In the Orkney Islands, we led the way in BVD eradication. Then Scotland began as a country. We were vaccinating with pregsure vaccine and ended up with bleeding calf syndrome in some calves. Current vaccine seems OK.

Nah see that's where I wasn't sure if I was referring to the vulva, I think it was the clitoris, but definitely not the vagina 😂
