Very nice binoculars. I don’t suppose you send a free pair to the first commenter on the video? I thought not 😊 You are so right about the longevity of quality. I have a pair of Japanese 7x35 that are 60 years old and they are my first grab if I hear a bird outside......buy once as they say......

How do these binoculars compare to the Viking Merlin 8x42 ED?

The Merlins give a slightly brighter image, and this is reflected in the price you pay.
