This show is like family to me

This looks awesome as it matches the books style while the final Animation is breathtaking as it gives it a more realistic sense to it.

@Sophi Covarrubias I heard in a article somewhere that they were going to make a 70 minute especial of it. Don´t know how much of it is true though.

@Sophi Covarrubias I felt the same way about the ending, I never liked cliff hangers. I think the movie is going to be about something else though. Seeing as how they´re still going to make season 3.

It still has the charm from the beggining... awww i watched the whole series with my little siblings

I gotta say I don’t like that more circular head the final version is better

It makes Hilda seem so young and innocent

This show looked incredible even from the very beginning, that's awesome!

This is very cool! It's really interesting to see more of the original comics' style animated. I'm personally glad we got the style they went for in the end, because that way we get the same story in two beautiful styles instead of just one.

This made me fall in love with a show I was already in love with

I love Hilda just because of the backgrounds and stuff. Everything feels like something out of a Felix Colgrave video, but very relaxed. Hilda is an underrated stoner show, IMO.

A bit closer to the graphic novel, oddly enough. (Absolutely recommend those to ANY Hilda fan, they are incredible)

This version of the Hilda series we know and love would be perfect if it started in 2015 on Cartoon Network on exactly July 7 and was more of an episodic comedy,horror and lasted until 2019 for some Reason I think that I dunno why

After watching a whole hour of Superliminal (its sad) and just watch this, its just heartwarming and it feels like coming back to reality-

ok to be completely honest. i love how her footsteps in the beginings matched the beat :> its so cute and subtle and i wish they had some kinda thing like that in the show

Basically

Hilda kinda looks the same as her comic counterpart except the shades of blue on her hair kinda change! Hilda debuted in November 2010 as a graphic novel series! There was a pilot in October 2014 as an animation test The series officially released in September 21, 2018 on Netflix

From what I heard, these characters still exist in 2014 version, but they were minor characters. Glad they made them main characters in 2018.

I like the graphics on the new version better it’s a lot smoother but I love how they kept the same concept

I listened to Annika (One of Wood Man’s favorites) every time after watching it

So, the show is over now, but the same can't be said about the franchise. And this early animation test proves to me that Hilda could work as a video game as well.

This looks like the graphics of a 2d indie game like little miss fortune

Not gonna lie, I actually kinda like the animation style the ended up with better. Johanna’s design especially. I know this is more accurate to the books’ style, but I think that the current designs still capture the spirit of the books without having to copy their art style exactly.

I do prefer the new one but this is actually pretty good.

Appetantly there are two races of trolls: 0:41 - Brown trolls that don't petrofie in the daylight, and dosen't mind Hilda seating behind their backs. And since Trollberg isin't walled. That was standing close to it but wasn't planing at invading it at all. 0:52 - Impersonations of great white sharks that prowl at night and it won't feel regretful if would eat a human child. (I had an good idea to call Thraddle "The Moon King".)

so here is my guess of timeline: 2014 :Hilda got greenlit leading to this animation test 2015: The people who work on the show changed 2017-Hilda started production with the new style 2018-Hilda Season 1 releases 2018-They started to develop Season 2 and a Movie 2019- nothing, just more books Late 2020- Season 2 releases 2021-???
