The parent you spend more time with is usually going to be the one you bond with more. That's not saying these dads are bad parents or even absent, but the kids are usually going to pick the primary parent as long as they feel safe with them.

As a father I will say. I tell my kids every day if something were to happen to me please take care of your mother. She is the back bone to this family and puts everything she’s got into making us all love her as much as we do. I will gladly hear my children say they would save her. I’ll fight the zombies off as they get away and I’ll keep her afloat till the safety rope is thrown.

This is among the situations that I tend to say, "Please don't make me choose!"😂
