Thanks ..went for reolink as setup is plug and play..much simpler...and importantly easier... on balance adequate for my requirements...you are familiar with the setup and system yet video is 15 minuets..it would take me hours and if a reset was needed at later date. Would need relearning ...KIS ..keep it simple

All I wished for and more bought 2 RLC 833A metal housing excellent build. mounted opp corners of house. EASY to set up no issues clear good quality images. easy to access recorded movement . 360 degree pan. 5 x optical zoom . Good in low light . Operating software simple easy to understand and use. Alarm setup works ..Reolink it's the way to go . Quality remains...price forgotten

Hello I would like to ask a question, do I HAVE to use a router like shown in the picture? Or could I buy a new or old monitor with PC and all the parts inside including HDD drive? How much GB or TB hard drive do I need to view the footage recorded for 2 weeks? Please reply

this is depend upon the camera resolution and camera quantity..... example 8*2mp camera , 15 frame per sec, H265 encoding you need 2TB hdd for 2 weeks

welcome sir I have a question. In my store I have a device, there is a dvr samsung sdr-C75300 with 16 cameras installed on it. I want to replace it with Hikvision NVR, the question I have on my device is the camera installed above the cache register, the AVE vci-pro interface device is installed to send the image to the dvr, in order to give me the names of the goods and prices It is sold. My question is, is the device with AVE vci-pro interface able to install on the nvr you're showing if I buy it and buy an adapter for the cam the vci-pro mounts on transformer named BNC DC to RJ45 Network Balun Video Balun with Power BNC to RJ45 Converter for HD

Yes, You can use your own cctv adaptor (12v 1Amp) Hikvision NVR support ONVIF protocol.

Hi there, was wondering if you can help me. I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR. Last Friday my security company was at my house swapping it out for a new one and they must not have set the date right because yesterday I went to play back footage and it was saying it was Tuesday, October 18 (when in fact it was Monday, October 17). I reset the date yesterday at noon to Monday but the problem is when I go to play back today Tuesday, it is showing me yesterday's footage (I guess because it was showing as Tuesday yesterday morning until lunch). When will the recorder catch up and record in real time or is there something else I need to go? Live play is showing the correct day and time as of noon yesterday, Monday 10/17. My security company is absolutely terrible and are of no help but as a last resort I will make them come back out.

Instant design fail when you need to handle a dozen tiny screws just to fit the HDD. You should look into Synology and QNAP's tool-less philosophy.

I bought Hikvision NVR and realized that I can't see video from a browser! There is some stupid, non-working app for Mac OS, but I am still puzzled how is it possible to build systems like this and not provide web view? Money wasted and not a small amount of money. Never ever buy Hikvision!
