Hello Jim, Thank you very much for your kind message chum, that’s much appreciated👍 It’s interesting to put up scopes against eachother like this, as it gives the viewer a chance to see the options out there. Can’t beat actually looking through one though , so everyone, look out for a night vision show event in your area, go along and see for yourself. One booked at The Oxford Gun Co, Friday October 6th🫵 I thing the Cheetah LRF will improve with the firmware update that’s due end of this month, get that PiP zoom sorted and a few more reticle choices too . The Alpex is undoubtably the primary scope on the market, I bought a Pulsar C50, and kept it for a month, before buying my Alpex , but it’s also down to folks eyesight too, that’s why I suggested the try before you buy test. I’ve taken folks out to try my scopes if they’re not sure about which one to go for, so if you get a chance to try one out, do it. Cheers Jim, all the best matey, David

Hi David. No worries mate thankyou for watching and commenting. Yes it is always better for people to try out scopes first but not everyone can do that. Yes going to shooting events will help out alot I agree but for those who can't make them I hope video's like these will help them. I had yhe C50 over a year ago it's a great scope but for me the Alpex is better. It's good to get peoples feedback though so it was definitely worth doing a video like this. All the best mate 👍

David, have you got to book to come to the event in October mate? I'm undecided on which scope to go for, age and eyesight per say. I like my reticles a little thicker. It is a pity regarding the lack of a rail on the Cheetah I like to add my own IR as well. Take care and stay safe lads

@@deanpike8376 hello Dean, No need to book chum, it’s a free evening, it will follow in the normal shop hours and run onto the night . The cafe will be open for hot filled rolls etc. I think you should look at the Alpex , as the new reticles that came in the February upgrade had a few better to see reticles👍 For older blokes like me😁

Some more great shooting there again jim mate with a couple of bonus Charlie's, as you know I'm a ATN 4k pro man myself 😂, great scope with the abl fitted, but you definitely don't see the same quality on video as you do when you're looking through the atn itself, however saying that i do like the look of the apex so I think if I was going to buy one of the 3 it would be the Alex 🤔

Hi Tim yes I agree the sound is alot better on the ATN, that is one of the issues with the Alpex and cheetah. The cheetah is by far the lightest until and the new updates for the cheetah are out if not already then it's going to make it better. Like I said in my review on it I wish it had a picitinny rail for additional ir because I found the battery life terrible at night.

Hi Mark. Firstly thanks for watching and secondly I would pick the Alpex over the cheetah personally. They are both good scopes but I think the cheetah has a couple more faults than the Alpex. Yes the cheetah is compact which I love and the lrf is spot on but they are probably the 2 main reasons to buy one. The Alpex is my goto day/night scope and probably the front objective focus ring is my main hate of the scope as its too stiff but I put a fishing coaster on it. Yes it helps but you shouldn't have to do things like that I don't think. Hope this helps 👍

They all look prteey damn good to me, hiks maybe a bit sharper. Id like to upgrade my dayscope with patd 007 sometime on my 223 for foxing, ive heard alpex is the better choice for centre fire, is this true? Is it because of long rage image quality or is it to do with recoil etc, with a top illuminator such as wraith+, could you get a clear image out to say 400-500m ive only shot out tp 200 so far but its nice to know theres more if you want to stretch it etc. Or more likely for identification purposes prior to moving in or calling etc.

I personally really like the hikmicro products but they do have some issues just like any other products. As for the pard yes its a very good rear add on and I have owned one in the past to great effect. But I prefer a conventional day/night vision scope like the Alpex or the Pulsar C50, mainly because you don't have to worry about setting the day scope up to accommodate the rear add on. With the Alpex the image quality is brilliant I think so check out my other video's with it and I use the irlightbuilds laser and can easily identify a fox out to 400 yards. At the end of the day it's personal preference to whatever suits your shooting requirements. But for me the Alpex is a winner and I can't wait to get the new Alpex lrf next month. Hope this helps and let me know what you choose to do.

@stephenoshea1166 no problem mate I will always try and help wherever I can as that's what it's all about. The Cheetah lrf is a nice scope but if you use it at night the battery life doesn't last long as the built-in ir torch drains it as well so carry a few batteries with you. But I got round it by using my power bank with a long USB lead and kept it in my pocket so job done. The Alpex battery life is really good and what with the new Alpex out next month I can imagine quite a few people will be selling their original Alpex so keep an eye out for a bargain. As for a thermal lrf the hikmicro gryphon base model is good and the price of those has come down alot.

ATN , perhaps marginally not as good...perhaps...but....how old is that scope...5 or 6 years old? And it has ballistics and LRF upgradeable....reliability used to be an issue...but...internal battery life was great. Not knowing the range of what you're looking at makes bit harder to judge... It's been said that all NV looks good at 100m. It's the longer range performance that's important...and,...that's hard to compare due to different "air" conditions ..dust, moisture .that greatly impact NV performance.. I'm waiting for a vast improvement in NV picture quality that has lrf and ballistics ....recently saw a Rico? Thermal scope that had organic base mag zoom adjust.....if this could be done on NV, ie, 5x to 10x or 15x organic zoom....then...that'd probably make 200, 300 yards seem alot more friendly ...clear. Liked your video....new scopes vs ATN is always interesting...usually with ATN performing very well, as good, or, not significantly behind ...imo Also like ATN multiple ballistic setups ..and onboard video playback...

Firstly thanks for liking my video and I totally get where you're coming from. Yes my ATN is approximately 6 years old and when it came out it probably was the best day/night vision scope on the market with a great battery life. And to be fair mine still holds a great charge. Regarding long distance at night personally I think that is the main area all manufacturers should concentrate on especially when zooming in ad most if not all scopes pixelate quite badly. I'm sure with the technology available they will sort this out. Regarding the clips I used in my video I couldn't remember the ranges but they were between 30 to 80 yards. I have been in touch with hikmicro's technical team and have put some ideas to them so see what happens aye.

Yeah absolutely that's where the ATN is great where you can review the footage straight away. And personally I prefer it where it records to a micro sd card. Hopefully I will be reviewing the infiray TD50L soon so looking forward to seeing how that performs. I had the original one one and I found it to be awful. Maybe I could get hold of the new pard as well I will ask around if there is a demo unit I could borrow

I can see where you're coming from but the difference is I'm not sponsored by anyone or get paid from them or get to keep products I test. I'm just an independent reviewer which yes it's great to get things sent to me to try out and I appreciate that. But the way I look at it is hopefully it will help other shooters to perhaps choose a product they might be looking at buying. Trust me if I was aloud to keep the hikmicro sq50 thermal scope I would but I'm looking at buying one myself. Testing out products is a great way for me to see how they perform before I buy something and end up finding out its not for me. That's where I'm lucky like that. I appreciate your comment and thankyou for that but I'm nowhere near in the same boat as other sponsored youtubers. Hope this makes sense 👍

Not impressed with body shots. Don't see why you can't get head shots. Not very professional
