Hiking Alone in Tayrona National Park 🏝 Day 2: Playa Brava - Cabo San Juan - El Zaino
One of my biggest adventures in this backpacking trip in Colombia was the 2-day visit to Tayrona national park. Unable to find a hiking partner I trekked in the jungle all alone but it was one of the most beautiful experiences, spiced up with some wild animal encounters and lots of gorgeous beaches.
On day two I woke up early at the paradise beach Playa Brava and hiked through the mountain to the very popular Cabo San Juan. To be honest, I wasn`t very impressed by the very touristy site so I made my way through the following playas: La Piscina, Arenilla and Arrecifes and out through the main park entrance El Zaino.
I must say I was quite proud of myself for venturing out on my own to experience this wonderful sight, the trails were stunning, easy to follow, not too difficult (I really never hike), some of the beaches are lovely and you can actually swim in the sea (in most of this area you can`t), but the popular sights are super crowded and the trail to the main entrance is more like an obstacle course which you tackle in a long snake of people. I definitely recommend you take the Calabazo entrance at least one way!

thank you so much! I realized that the quality of videos on a desktop is not at all what I thought it is - for some reason somewhere in the process the quality gets lost 😖hope I figure it out and fix it!

@@wherestheparty_ Video calibration is a demanding and slow process, especially if it is recorded with several different cameras, then it is even more difficult to achieve that uniform tone and quality.

I've seen your videos in Colombia, I think in the last video, having been alone walking back from the park is hard mission both physically and mentally, I think that's the challenge, but I'm really glad you did it.

it was a challenge but it was also really fun and it felt safe (except for the mean monkeys 😄) I do recommend giving it a go, not just Tayrona but hiking alone in general can be very profound.
