Thank you for uploading this, it's incredible to watch. I've played online since 1997, and just watching a GM back then was an event. Seeing one of the best in the world (arguably the best blitz player even) comment on his own moves with an eval bar is a level of chess expression I did not think possible.

He's playing with the evaluation bar!! I believe everyone would find this "Interesting"

I’ve always hoped a post-production eval bar could be included! It’s brave of Hikaru as it could potentially embarrass him, but of course it pretty much just agrees with his intuition and shows what a deep level of understanding he has of the game.

no it wouldn't, the eval should be taken with a grain of salt unless it's a major eval change, because humans aren't stockfish 16

Interesting fact That eval bar is not only present in the post production...

11:47 he correctly assumes that his position is worse, just as the eval bar says, but after 10 secs he gains little bit advantage that we can see on eval and hikaru knows that too. As kramnik would say, interesting

Bit unnecessary to call the poster dense.. Likely also inaccurate. It is a good timestamp to demo how Hikaru always reads the game so well and talks through it. Particularly to newer viewers. I wish he could play the actual music like on stream on Kick or Twitch... Would that be possible if he switched to KZread to stream and used KZread Music rather than Spotify I wonder

*The pattern recognition these top GMs have for lines is unbelievable.* Even if it just is repetition, I don't care. They can remember the day and time of the exact game they played one line in 5+ years ago and they play hundreds of games per day. Whatever % of the population they are in skill level, I guarantee you they're more right on the curve of pattern recognition. It's crazy to think the difference between even a 2800 and 3000 might just literally be base IQ.

So many moments like 12:05 and 12:21 where Hikaru just gets things exactly right. For as good as computers are, it’s still crazy how well-trained a chess master’s “evaluation function” is.
