Hikaru Nakamura's 5 Most Brilliant Chess Moves
Ойындар
Join GM Simon Williams as he breaks down the best moves from GM Hikaru Nakamura!
Nakamura has been one of the world’s top players for over a decade. He was clearly the top American player for much of that time, and is now a key contributor to one of the strongest chess scenes in the world.
He is a five-time U.S. champion, claiming the title in 2005, 2009, 2012, 2015, and 2019. Only Samuel Reshevsky and Bobby Fischer (eight each) and Walter Browne (six) have won more U.S. Championships since the tournament format began in 1936.
Nakamura was also a participant in FIDE’s 2004 World Championship tournament and a candidate for the world championship in 2016. He is further renowned for his blitz prowess.

BOOM! Nice commentary! 👍
7:03 "Did you see that?" I thought it was lag from my side. I rewinded ~5 times and thought Nope, this IS the demon
I found them all and I'm only a 1700, I think it's due to the fact that I know there's a brilliancy next move (because the title say so), so I look for a strange move and so I find it... So in my opinion it's not so difficult to found them when the title say so, but it's difficult to find them on your own games

„THE LOBSTER PINCER AT HIS LVL!??!?!!!“
Thanks a lot Simon but why not 10 brilliant move? love them all and waiting to see your coming videos.
Beautiful.... just beautiful moves.
I got all of them except for the first one where I thought the move was Rxg1 followed by Kxg1 followed by a check by queen , the white knight defends and is taken by a pawn. (black would be up materials, have a passed pawn, the king will be open and in lot of threats and the white passed pawn won't be able to cause any problems since rook defends the queening square)
7:03 when the edibles kick in
Favorite move Qd3. Subbed.
You would look apocalyptically cool w that goatee and a Dave Mustaine hairstyle! Awesome vid. Thanks
7:03 that's what christmas hangover in march looks like

7:03 "did you see tha-" *ascends*

Very much enjoyable and amazing.....
These booms are pretty epic
The most amazing move by Ginger GM is his " rumor " about him and Nakamura . Legend .
It would be great if you could provide links to the actual games and dates, so we could go study them more if interested...
Legendary 🤙
I really like the final one (Carlsen-Hikaru) because of the sacrifice leading right to mate.

awesome queen sacrifices
Ur back
christmas hangover in march. that's impressive
I love it in that one moment when he sacrifise his queen
As a beginner, I thought: Rxg1+, Kxg1, Bc5+, Ne3, Bxe3, Qxe3, fxe3 and white losses the queen. And Hikaru: "Nahhh, I'm gonna go Qd3!!!"
Genius
Number 3 is my fave for sure
