I’m 76 years old and these programs I grew up with and I love them very much. I wish they’d have more of them and get rid of all the trash that we have today. This is one of the better programs that they came out with anybody else out there wanna speak about itgo ahead

I'm only 38 but this is one of my favorite shows. I don't like any of the new shows on tv nowadays, it's nothing but garbage. We need more shows like this that teach morals, values, treating others with kindness, but most importantly God. In these scary times we are living in, we need more shows like this!

I always cry when watching this. It makes me reflect on my life, and my regrets. I wish I was a better, more appreciative son to my parents, and a better brother to my sister. Sadly both my parents have passed away, so I guess it’s a little late. We can all learn to be better and more considerate people. As he said, kindness doesn’t cost anything 😢

I also have my regrets. My Dad is gone. I do take care of my mom. GOD have mercy on the both of them. I was mean to my brother and sister growing up. I'm 40 now.

Anyone out there watching this program and feeling the Holy Spirit? Michael Landon was sent to show us how to love one another. He was God’s messager.

+George Gabelbauer I didn't gather that from the episode which I began to watch today, before shutting it off in disgust. A pastor was being mocked for promoting the very Biblical idea, taught by Jesus Himself, that He is the only Way. Indeed John 14:6 was quoted in the scene. But then a bunch of schoolkids ganged up on the supposedly benighted, arrogant, and ignorant pastor, lecturing him in their natural 'wisdom' on how wrong he was------------how only obedience to Jesus' commandments matters, NOT belief in Him personally. This despite John 6:29, ....this is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.' I thought that it was by the power of the Holy Spirit that people are enabled to obey God's commandments, to love Him and neighbor, whereas without the Holy Spirit this is impossible. And HOW is the work of the Spirit INDEPENDENT of the will of Father and Son, even contradicting it? This cannot be. But I doubt that framers, writers, or producers of the gave much consideration to such irksome (and to them minor) details. I would imagine that they were more concerned with ratings. Of course it 'sounds nice' to the average untaught viewer to suggest that God is too 'big' to insist on an exclusive path of salvation. One hears that argument continually from people who have not read the Bible and have no intention to become 'tied down' to any church. Yet 'all religions' DO NOT in essence teach the same thing. The most cursory comparisons will swiftly dispose of that pious illusion. What I saw on full display today was 'another gospel'. In effect they were calling Jesus a liar, and Michael Landon's face was beaming in approval. Of course he was 'just acting', but people are liable to associate his name with the message, whatever he actually believed.

@Batphink Reynolds I used to enjoy 'The Waltons'. I also enjoyed 'H. to H.' until I realized that heresy was being preached not so subtly. At that point I went 'cold turkey'. Do you have a problem with my decision? If you can't understand, just accept that I didn't feel like watching it anymore.

Landon was the most universal talent in television. None matched his ability.

This world needs more people who want to help people. I want to be one of those people. This tv show made me so emotional I am looking very forward to watching Michael Landon he is my new hero to add to my heroes.

Michael Landon's huge contribution to the world of TV series cant be denied. He has touched and moved us with his roles in Bonanza, LHOTP, and Highway to Heaven. I never thought much about him, until I started to watch LHOTP reruns recently...and was so moved. Thank you Michael Landon. You were amazing!

I met Michael Landon and Victor French while filming at Tommy’s Burgers in Rosemead, CA back in the 80s. I was around 9-10 years old. I also got both of their autographs for a friend of mine since he was too shy to get them himself. They were very kind and I have recently become acquainted with this show thanks to the quarantine, Cozie TV and this KZread channel. God Bless us all!

This was the episode when Jonathan won all that money from a burger joint and a gold digger came along to try to swindle it. Good thing God intervened and the money went to a good cause. There is a new movie streaming service called PureFlix.com that was advertised on KZread and a show called Gabriel reminds me of Highway to Heaven. I’m going to check it out.

I am 48 and this TV series keep popping up in my life every couple years since childhood, even before I became a child of God during the recent decade. We all needs to be reminded from time to time how we shall treat each others.

Hard to believe that just 12 days ago; he's been gone 30 years. .. R.I.P. Michael Landon, and Victor French.

I was raised watching shows like this. Highway to Heaven, The Waltons, Little House in the Prairie. These were the shows I learned from and those values I passed them down to my children and Grandchildren.

@James Henderson he was a wonderful actor! Being on film or television has nothing to do with how good they are. They choose what to audition for based on what suits them best. Some actors love to travel and prefer film. Some like the stability of a regular schedule that television offers. There are other factors as well. Also, there are lots of movie actors that suck and TV actors that are awesome! TV is not a place where "second rate actors" are put because they're not good enough for movies, geesh!

Highway To Heaven was a great television series. One of the best! Michael Landon and Victor French were a fine team. They played Jonathan Smith and Mark Gordon, an angel/mortal duo traveling the country and solving problems. The same worn Ford LTD sedan was used for the whole five-season run from 1984 to 1989.

Each episode had lessons in justice, kindness and compassion. Even if they try, they will not be able to duplicate shows like these again. This was was when families get together without the distraction of the internet.

Love the burn on the property developer when Jonathon tells him he was too busy for his childhood sweetheart. That really got to the hard-nosed businessman; at that point he realised he messed up, as he trundled back as a lonely man to his exercise bike.

Their souls will always be respected and remembered ..

Do we need polyannas to reassure us that, according to the UNBIBLICAL saying, 'all is right and God is in His heaven'? No, God is going to DESTROY and REPLACE this present world. Very well observed. I love the pace as it feels like a film to me. It takes its time and there is so much to enjoy and you really care about each of the characters. A lovely piece of storytelling that you'd never see in a series today.

It's a shame that both Michael landon,Victor French died . My sympathies to their families 😢 😔 . All of the fans love them both ❤,they are very dearly missed .

i used to watch this show with my dad. In 1989 he passed away from colon cancer at age 53, about a year or so later so did Michael Landon at the same age. I still love this show today

My dad and Michael Landon were the same age. They were diagnosed with cancer about a week apart. Landon died three weeks after my father did. Men like them are hard to find today.

Loved this show in 1985, still love it in 2021. They don't make series like this anymore.

Completely enjoyed watching this show! The steady pace and simple but engaging dialogue was so calming. Such a refreshing change from all the toxic, noisy content in the media today. I'm hooked!

Why have i never heard of this little gem before? I absolutely love the concept of this show. There is too much greed and hate in our wonderful world. Without hope and love there is nothing.

This show brings out the best in people! Helped kids learn right from wrong.

He came from heaven. Now he went back to heaven. Even God miss him.

I never had to worry if my kids told me they were watching a Michael Landon show. I cried when I heard he passed away. My husband and I grew up watching him on TV-Bonanza, Little House on the Prairies, Highway to Heaven, and, for a short time, Us. An amazing man. R.I.P. Michael and Victor.

Yes I watched all those programmes when I was in my teens and early twenties especially when I got married and lived in South Africa and became a believer In my Saviour Jesus Christ. I am now a widow and living in the N E of England. Like Michael I try to listen to the inner voice of God to make decisions and friends!. I found this series thought and prayer provoking. Also VERY "down to earth" and unbelievably "believable" and sincere. So well produced by the writer/producer GOD BLESS HIM EVEN NOW! Yes this world would be like heaven if we all lived and loved like this on earth today BUT I DO BELIEVE IN HEAVEN AS IT'S TOLD IN THE BIBLE so this really has the touch of Heaven on earth. So we must trust the Word and His words as The Truth for our future when we get there. MARANATHA YES COME LORD JESUS.

All of Michael Landon's show had the privileged to watch most of them.!I really missed Him when He passed away.Left me good memories .May He Rest In Peace in Heaven!

For the many who do not believe in or question God's existence, the highway to heaven isn't a toll road governed by religions, instead it's an open road sometimes fraught with peril that ultimately takes us there...along with the many passengers that we pick up along the way. The whole world loves you Michael Landon, Forever and Always and through all your episodes that you have been in or involved in, you made us all feel that thug on our heart strings and have us all tear up and your laugh was very infectious I love it, you always seem to light up a room when you entered it, i wish I could have met you, it would of been an honour. R.I.P Micheal Landon always remembered and loved. . Victor French was an amazing person and actor and so funny, I'm a BIG FAN of yours, the whole world loves you Victor French, it's really sad that you left this earth too, it would of been a honour to of met you also, we will always remember you and love you R.I.P Victor you are up in heaven with all the rest of the gang. .. bye for now... 🇮🇪🍀🍀🍀😎..

They say we don 't know each other anymore in after life! Only at the beginning we get picked up by family members but friends or other people are not supposed knowing each other!

Michael EVEN knows how to pick an excellent cast

God gave us Michael for his short life here on earth to touch people and that he did in his own special way, thank you God and thank you Michael.....say hello to my mom and dad who are with you in Heaven

What an ending, and what a beginning for a legendary friendship based on altruism. The unbearably kind face of French, the honest joy in Landons face as the car gives up the ghost, his thankfulness as he looks up and then that music... Perfect! We need more shows like this in this cynical age!

I must say for sure , their is very few , tv shows that can make me cry like a baby , and this is one of them.Be kind my friend , and go with , Jesus.He fixes , what is broken.For sure.

And the Grand Old Lady of theater - Helen Hayes. One of my favorite actresses ever!

they had a show called touched by an angel that was sort of like this with a female angel....the theology didn't feel right to me though. They had the angel telling a death row convict that God wanted them to die. Well first off if God wants someone to die it's trivial for God to smite them down....but secondly, why would God want us to kill each other? That's what the show Supernatural got wrong too. It was a show about these two brothers who hunt demons. But toward the end of the show they bring God into it, but God is doing all this evil stuff like making a woman's children disappear etc. This show got it right. You know, love each other and love God, do good in the world, God is the ultimate good. :)

The flesh, the world, and the devil, three enemies I have to fight. So I try to be of good cheer cause Jesus overcame the world. So I can be part of his Kingdom.

I remember when this show hit the air. I watched every show. I never heard the name Jesus Christ mentioned in any of them. Let alone confess him to be Lord and Savior. Now I realize this show was meant to be "universal" for a variety of religions.

Good I love this show. Grow up watching it with my mom she would have watched it every day. I sure do miss my mama rest in peace Glenda sue hughes/ Collins September 27th 1947- April15th 1999 love you mama

But in this case I can tell the difference between real and counterfeit Christianity. If that makes me 'sanctimonious', so be it. Be sure that YOU ALSO can tell the difference. Did Jesus really mean this, or did He say it in pretense only? (John 14:6) 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.' By this statement was He (a Law-abiding Jew no less!) endorsing paganism, hinduism, buddhism, confucianism, islam, sikhism, mormonism, New Age, etc. etc.---------------maybe even marxism-leninism?? What do you think?? I observed an episode in which His words were DIRECTLY and DELIBERATELY challenged. Therefore the agenda of the show is fundamentally anti-Christian. Let no one be deceived. Or if they insist on deceiving themselves, let them be forewarned.

I wish we still had such quality shows anymore!

+JackinRI I used to watch it quite a bit, but after careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that this sort of show should NOT have been made in the first place. It promotes popular religious fantasy as opposed to Christianity, and a doctrine of salvation which is universalistic and insulting to Jesus Christ. Just today I saw part of an episode which openly MOCKED Jesus' claim to Divine authority (John 14:6------'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me'). Kid actors were exploited for this ignoble agenda. I was disgusted. If people could get to heaven by 'good deeds', without reference to anything which Jesus actually did or said about Himself, He need not have died in agony on our behalf. This show is based on pure superstition and wishful thinking.

+@@climatixseuche I don't know when it is ever helpful to use that word to advance or dismiss a point. Commenting on what you PRESUME to be a person's emotional state while speaking does not necessarily pertain to the content of what is being said, or its merits. Perhaps some like to think of themselves as 'above the fray', untouched in their souls by perception of truth or falsehood or by any variation of opinion. That seems a rather haughty position to take, and I doubt its authenticity. I have yet to find anyone LIVING who cannot be triggered somehow, perhaps when he/she does not expect it to happen.
