I've been following rugby for almost 30 years and I've never seen a back being as consistently brillant and decisive in almost every frigging game he plays be it at club or international level and be it at offensive or defensive level. I was at this match and i was dumbfounded by how well Toulouse played. Seeing Dupont is action was a thing to behold. It was a well earned Win to them. Just wasn't Ulsters day.

@ As french i would say yes, as a rugby player there is less strengh on the second contact. So yes if we respect the rule it's an additionnal red card, but on real speed camera the contact is not too "violent"

For sure there was another yellow card for the shoulder to Jelonch’s head. At least a yellow. And the Ramos deal was a yellow as well, we’ve all seen at least yellow for less in other matches.

La défaite à la maison était imméritée. Sans des faits d'arbitrages le ST gagnait. Même à 14 la victoire a été plus que proche. Sur les deux matchs le ST était supérieur

Ulster only got a good first leg because of Juan Mata's red card. Without it, it would have been two 30-pts victories for Toulouse. Even though I completely agree with you the Ulster is indeed in the rise, they're still a long way from Toulouse.

Can't believe that Ulster let this one get away. Silly errors, which against a quality opponent like Toulouse are fatal.

First of all, congratulations to the Ulster players and supporters, a great team with very friendly fans! We won by the skin of our teeth, that's what you have to remember but we were so bad. Tauzin, Nanai Williams don't have the level, our back lines are weak (fortunately Akhi is back and our hinge is good), the players are exhausted (top 14 too long, half of the team starting to get injured because they represent 70% of the French team ...). We'll have to rotate and rest a few players. It's going to be complicated to play both ways, this year even more so but we can do it! Let's go Toulouse, Come on french team and good luck to the Ulstermen in the championship ! ❤️🖤-🤍❤️

What a game

As a neutral this was wonderful. As good as any Champions League Football match. Lovely to see Ntamack is a chip off the old block, and Dupont is truly the best player in the world. He is the best French 9 I've ever seen - and France produces the best 9's in Europe. Gutted for Ulster. Big fan of their team and their fans - they always leave a ground with new friends.

A great game from two very good sides, Ulster should've gotten more out of last week's game.

I think you are missing the point. Balacoune's tackle should have been a Red. Tip tackle will ALWAYS be at least a Yellow. But the bigger point is this. Some people are saying that a straight Red is "too harsh" and "ruining matches". They want a Twenty Minute Red. But, even they admit that there are incidents where the Red seems inadequate. After last week's matches, whereas most received 2 - 4 week bans, one got an Eleven Week Ban (basically for the rest of the season). If they do bring in the 20 minute Red, there will need to be a HIGHER sanction for more egregious Offences.

Two yellows fair enough. Seen both given and not in games. The red card incident is more worrying as though 18 is correctly red carded for the initial headshot, 2 has dropped his arm leading with the shoulder and while head contact is unfortunate, the tackle technique carries a high degree of risk, borderline illegal

And there is an offside on the last Ulster try, check by the video, but accepted anyway!! 14 points given by referee negligence (or referee will!) So it’s justice to see Toulouse win and go to 1/4 finals.

Why is it undesserved ? They played the first leg at 14 and lost 20-26 after controversal refeering decisions. Ulster is eliminated because score not enough points at the first leg. If you don't work enough to win, you loose. So you don't deserve to win.

So now tackling a player at full speed while he's in the air is only worth a yellow card? I'd say Ulster are EXTREMELY lucky with red cards: they benefit from Juan Mata's in the first leg (totally deserved it), and then they magically escape one with this foul and dangerous action. Would have been two 30-points victories without this, but the game is the game 🤗 and the ref's decisions are imperial 🥂

That was one hell of a game. A great Ulster performance, Toulouse and France are over-rated. They think that they are better than they are. They make way too many mistakes and play way too high risk Rugby at this level. Munster will eat up this Toulouse team in the next round. The intensity didn't seem to be as high as in the Munster v. Exeter game. Although for Drama it was top drawer. I really feel for Ulster and all their wonderful supporters. The red card made the difference. Billy Burns played a stormer, Dupont and Ntamack made loads of mistakes, against better opposition they will be punished. I think its Leinster's title to lose really. Unless maybe La Rochelle or Leicester spring a surprise. My heart says Munster for the cup but my head says Leinster.

Lamentable ces cartons rouges ou jaunes selon l'arbitre du jour. Dans ce cas le 2 rouge était seul passible d'un carton, le 18 avait fait un placage correct.
