He has always been a top player. Here he played outside centre but in my opinion he is probably the best winger in the world. Pure class.

Very good game. Pace, power, skill and intent shown by both sides. C'est bon.

Clermont trusted in bringing out the old boys Parra and Slimani and it payed off dividend. Rolled their luck in getting those 2 late pens, but hey fortune favours the bold.

@@sirfrancis6058 does seem like they were always intent on winning. Rugby can be funny as mistakes and bad decisions have a huge effect, as in a high pressure game there'll be more mistakes coming..

Why didn't the Sale full-back dive for the ball before Penaud could get to it for Clermont's third try? He would have got clattered, but he would have got to the ball first. Not brave enough perhaps.

How was that not a peno to Sale at 8:02? The Clermont 9 was led all over the Sale 9, preventing sale from getting a good clear out while the Clermot playing jackles over top? Probably wouldn't have changed the result but was right in front of the ref

Imagine giving away the same amateur penalty...twice.

Sale played like 35min in his own territory during the 2nd half, no regret, Clermont deserves the win. But too many mistakes from both of the team. (I'm French, I don't really know if my sentences are understandable)

The first was pure instinct, no time to think, but de Jager's was shocking cause he had so much time to see the ref signaling the knock-on advantage.

Clermont not what they were. Clermont of 3-4 years ago would put 45-50 on this Sale side.

why to put a collapsed maul or a 30 second scrum set up in the montage and no show the conversions of the tries? I don't understand how you select the highlights...

This is the first time in Rugby history that a Southern Hemispghere Rugby team, not a national selection, engages an European club on a regular base. I did not believe that European clubs or franchises could sustain a match against south africans franchises, as it was told that this atter ones were too physically strong

There’s a channel on here called squidge rugby and if you look at his older videos he goes through all the games rules. The offside and the breakdown is tricky to get the proper understanding of so don’t be phased. I’ve watched rugby all my life and follow Munster for longer and I still struggle sometimes!
