FYI - That head model I have is called The Asaro Head (originally made by artist John Asaro), and I got mine from www.planesofthehead.com (I am not affiliated with them in any way, but their products are great.) Thanks for watching, folks!

@@marcobucci Thank you sir.
when i was still relatively young learning art, this would have been a gem to find. generally you produce so much content that is basically worth gold to any artist who wants to learn! "kids these days" are really lucky and you explain everything really well. its also good for me to revisit of course

Keeping in mind with more gold art content comes a lot more bad unhelpful content to sift through as well. This channel is not the normal standard for art tutorial content(wish it was).

Same. Having said that, these fundamental lessons were definitely available when we were younger as well, and they were generally less accessible than what you can find now BUT... when we were young, if you paid for a book that taught you how to draw, it was going to be a good and reliable resource. Now, there's no guarantee the youtube "lesson" you're watching is a good resource or a misleading time waster
Thank you so much for the proper captions!! Usually, YT captions are either auto-generated or unprofessional (awkward sentence transitions/improper formatting). It's so nice to see proper captions like that. It makes me feel welcomed here as a deaf artist. Learning from art videos is not often accessible as much as you need, even if auto-CC is available. Again, thank you so much for sharing the amazingly helpful information, Marco. I'm looking forward to watching more of your captioned videos.

Community submitted captions have been gone since october 2020, if i recall correctly, which actually really sucks for many people
I have always thought the term highlight was a little misleading and I hear artists often refer to all of their lights as highlights. Great video Marco, appreciate all the hard work you put into these!
Something useful that I learnt in photography: The angle of incidence = the angle of reflection
As a pure baby-skin-like beginner, this channel is a gold mine!
This is great for artist's that use highlight from the makeup look. It never looks right.
Beginner artist here! Knew a lot of these literally from references, but never knew what any of them where called very informative video
Damn the professor uploaded a video!
This approach on crest ligh painting is awesome ❤
5:48 I feel called out... But this was so helpful! you're the best teacher ever!
I teach myself since I can't afford school. This was very easy to understand, thank you.
Another banger of a video. And... you are not hideous, you are lovely.
bro, i still can't believe i learned so much from a 10 minute free youtube video. THANK YOU SO MUCH
I am a beginner and now that I can draw pretty good characters, it's time to move to values and colour and I want to start with watercolor but for traditional look you need to have highlighted areas pre planned. This video is a saviour and shows exactly how to think about the highlights.
Definitely gonna try this one. I've been overthinking shading lately and this certainly helps.
Hey, Marco. I was watching the animation movie and can’t help but noticed that the characters in the movie looks very similar to characters you drew. Did you take part in the production of that movie?

I like this "Captain Disillusion" course you took.
I like your videos because they present a lot of pertinent information with very little filler.
Hi Marco!! I just want to say thank you for all these tutorials. I started growing my skills the moment i watched your videos. They are very informative but not overwhelming!!
Best explanation of a highlight ever! I actually feel like I could draw these from my head after seeing this, because it made me realize I am more familiar with the face than I even noticed!
i alway have lighting problem and this vid literally solve most of my problems! Thank You Marco
Incredible lessons ;)
Thank you. You explain concepts in a very natural way.

This is actually so easy to understand!! I saw highlights on references I would use but I never actually understood them until now :D
Ty Sir for the information
Your videos are the most helpful and the most motivating videos about learing how to draw on youtube for me. Thank you very much!!
This is so informative. I kinda struggle sketch on grey paper when wanted putting on highlight. This really helps
I found this interesting and informative, thanks so much!
Marco did it again!! Next payday I'm going to sign up for the head study class. Thanks Marco Bucci!!
I know how specular highlights work but (when it comes to painting, intuition and being fast is everything, so...) breaking those down in categories and explaining each one of them, REALLY helpful, thank you so much!
