I guess the Finns remembers the final in 1994 (Canada vs Finland) when Bin'Amor tripped Kurri and scored (tied the game and Canada won the gold). Finland was so badly robbed the referees publicly apologized. Or the final in Minsk 2015. It just happens in hockey

Tack så mycket! If we were playing against Sweden in the final, I would have been as much of a nervous wreck as I was today against Canada. And you were the only team who managed to beat us, so there's that. There's always next year, and swedes are always dangerous no matter what players they get. You guys can play so slimy and smart! I meant that "slimy" as a compliment, I couldn't come up with a better word.

What a fantastic end, and a thrilling final! Even though that I am not a finn, I had tears of joy actually. The atmosphere is breathtaking, I´ve never witnessed such feeling before. Thank you finland for the awesome show. And now the tournament is over, what a empty feeling. But there is always another year. See you next year all of you. Take care.

Totally agree about the game - exiting and good hockey. I do not agree about the refs. Canada should have had a penalty from interfierance when one of FI players was pushed so that the goal was moved - it was a 100% penalty but the goat was accepted etc. But the call for a hitting a FI player with a stick to the face was not correct - it was fi players stick. The last call tripping the fi player was correct - fi player Filppula got a penalty from exact the same earlier in the game.

You must've forgot last years IIHF 2021 finals where the referee duo let Canada trip, interfere and slash the Finnish players during overtime and made 0 calls. Canada absolutely didn't deserve that win with that kind of refereeing. Also you're talking shit as in the NHL you have those kind of penalties.

No denying that the refs did a shitty job in this game, but at least their fuck-ups benefited both sides somewhat equally. Aside from that this was the best game of the tournament in my opinion.

Exactly, for example the Finns remembers the final in 1994 (Canada vs Finland) when Bin'Amor tripped Kurri and scored (tied the game. Canada won the gold). Finland was so badly robbed the referees publicly apologized. + final in Minsk 2014

Yeah they messed up OT too, that Finnish player acted like he was playing soccer with the way he crumpled under Chabot. VAR is a must for hockey, too often are refs a part of the game for no reason

Wasn't it some crazy hooking? Anyways last years OT referees were just disgustingly terrible, two obvious penalties for canada left out. And Canada won. It happens nearly every game though. The refs are still just humen, and this game wasn't too bad (and it was a lil shit for both sides)

@@valdu6759 i dont think he was arguing that it was not a penalty. However, it should have been offsetting minors. The hook and either unsportsmanlike for the flop or tripping for grabbing Chabot's leg. Unfortunate that the refs decided to make callls in favor of only one team tonight. Guess that's what happens when you have European referees officiating a European team in the final.

Congratulations Canada ... You played really well and got my heart bumping so fast at the end of the 3rd period 😂 But to be honest it was a hard game but Finland in my opinion deserves this win...

Canada is always opponent you don't want against you. They show it to the SWE, they show it the FIN 2:50 on clock and they do miracles on ice, but this time Finns make one more goal. Thank you (Canada) for great game, but we leave that ring with GOLD at our home tournament. 4th gold to FInland/Lions! Whatta hockey night! That you for visiting Tampere, Finland!

Thank you Canada for a great, unforgettable (to us finns) match. Yes, one of your penalties was absolutely the wrong call. Yes, it was shitty luck for your goalie to get injured. But you showed once again why you are the superpower of hockey even with a D-team. You almost did the same to us what you did to Sweden, almost. It was an awesome comeback and nobody should ever, in any circumstance, count your team out no matter what players you have. But I'm so happy for Finland right now. Hyvä Suomi, respect for Canada! Also jood job Czechia for getting the bronze, you guys were so happy, it was a joy to see.

I know that canadians are not happy with the high sticking call. It was wrong call, but they managed to come back from that and have another shot at it and still lost the game. From my point of view the penalty that canada took on the overtime was correctly called it was hooking. I know it hurts to lose, and its easier to call it on refs and say they were bribed. The hell they were not. The match was tight and i think the right team won. The refs were not on finlands side any more than they were on canada's. Go finland! Well earned!

wrong calls shoud not happen in final game, they saw the replay and knew it was no faul, and the Finn showed perfect diving skills after the "brutal" hooking, go watch it again, he even started screaming, 10/10 for acting, he should play football

@@martinandrovic504 wrong calls should not happen in finals. Agreed but thrn again i remember so many wrong calls in finals 😅. Im not gonna argue about the hooking. I watched it, i saw it and if you place your stick like that between the legs and it gets stuck there the refs call it. There was also calls that were not called for both teams. Speculating things wont make anything change and it was a good game.

@@martinandrovic504 No one likes diving, except....yeah, obvious people. ^^ In the finals 2021 Antilla embellished a high stick, with a stick hitting his shoulder/upper arm and never touched his face. For example. I dunno why player do this. Resulted in the 1:0 for finland.
