richards looked solid, but bivol was the more experienced and smarted fighter in this match. amazing performance by both honestly.

Richards should be proud of his performance, showed skill and toughness, he just ran into a top level boxer in his prime. The UK commentators tho, again, putrid. We don't WANT to hate UK commentators, they force us to hate them. Impossible to enjoy a fight with this extremely biased amateur hour garbage they spew.....

Richards is a very big light heavyweight while bivol could easily fight as a super middleweight. Richards had a huge physical advantage, he is taller, has a longer reach and he is bigger muscles. It is not easy to fight against someone bigger because you have to move a lot to hit him and not being hit, then your punches has less effect

No faints, no lateral movement, pretty much a counterpuncher who gave away his reach and still made it a close fight. With the right trainer he could clip bivol in a rematch.

No way, bivol is smart and now has Richard's numbers. Richards has the only skill of making the weight that gives him a huge physical advantage in this division, especially against opponents like bivol who could easily fight as a super middleweight. Bivol is a much better boxer than him

As the commentators stated at the start of the video: Richards had about a 6-7 inch reach advantage, and about 4 inches in height. That is such a big advantage!! Bivol truly is the superior boxer

His physical advantage over bivol isn't only reach and height, being that bigger means to have like 10 pounds more than bivol in the ring which gives him advantage on taking punches and on power

Bivol had fluidity in his game. If he fights Bertbiev this year I believe Bivol has the chance to give Artur his first loss in his pro career. While Bertibiev had the Power to knock people out Bivol had the footwork and defense to overcome that. Bivol showed that during his fight with Canelo. And what a name Dimitry Bivol is, sounds like a badass character and so is Artur Bertibiev.

So Bivol will be facing Zurdo next and Beterbiev should clash against Smith Jr. later this year. I'm curious to see who comes out on top in the 175 unification tournament! Edit: As of 5/21/21, there are reports that Ramirez is actually rumored to fight Sullivan Barrera on July 9. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Barrera may pose some challenges but why him? He already lost to both Bivol and Hart. This is another wasted tuneup imo. (Ramirez is stalling for the perfect 50-0 record.)

I've never heard of Craig Richards but he must certainly held his own, he needs to come to the states to train. His style would be great for Floyd Sr. to train him. 💯💯💯

I agree. This match wasn’t too one sided for Bivol. He ate alot of jabs. If you got bad defense, you won’t stand a chance.

Canelo is 5'8 ! Bivol is a small 175 but he's a lot bigger and faster than Canelo. This fight will not be a piece of cake. I believe Bivol will win !

Richards punch didn't pose a threat at all but he was the more aggressive in 70% of the rounds. He did himself proud against a champion..

Дима шахматист, он работает больше головой а не физикой.

Скорость на высоте, Диман офигенно все сделал, все удары пришли соперника по защите, ноги согласен не в работе почти были, но Дима кросс!!! Все наверстает с лихвой!! Великая школа тренера его!! Хороший тренер был.

@@ob5144 Honestly I doubt it. Kovalev didnt have the walking back hability, that even this Bivol rusty version has, and Canelo had so much trouble. But hey, let´s not rule out that Canelo might be constantly improving since then til now.

Bivol is slick enough to give Canelo problems. He doesn't really waste punches. Canelo has grown as a fighter I'd watch it.

All he really has over canelo is size and if he know how to use it and bully canelo then he has a chance. Canelo has everything else over this guy. I’m honestly having a hard time seeing why people rate Bivol so highly. May e there isn’t much at lhw other than Arthur beterbiev.

Соперник Димы хорошо использовал преимущество в антропометрии, поэтому Биволу было трудно сильно развить атакующий успех. Карабала встречал пытался подловить навстречу. Дима все сделал правильно. Не удивлюсь если карабала на допинге, потому что от таких ударов должен был быть хотя бы потрясен

Крейг был боксером низкого класса, а чемпион таких проходных соперников должен проходить легко , играюче, а этот бой показал что бивол так себе чемпион, в прочем и последний бой бетера показал что он сдулся

@@lazuritart1893 да соперник может быть не удобным, но уровень и качество бокса топ показывает в независимости от противника. А противник хоть и был не удобен но был примитивным, однообразным, без ударным, так что топ таких противников должен проходить на изи а если нет то его уровень ставиться под сомнение и он становится не интересным, тоже самое и про бетера можно сказать - показал ужасный бокс, колхозный, скорость ноль, пластика как у дерева, явно сдулся тоже чувак, и вот они хотят спустится в весе и подраться с канело)))) с таким то уровнем бокса)))

Bivol and Beterbiev should fight together. Maybe Canelo if he goes up back, should face one of them. These are really so tough fights.

His jabs will be a problem for Canelo

Richards is a timid fighter, he seemed to be outclassed by R-2, but he’s got heart

Watching the highlights it didn't look like a close fight. Richards didn't seem to have been landing enough.

I wasn't counting punches but overall it felt like Richards might have landed more punches than Bivol but Bivol's were more snapping accurate lands (when they landed) and Richards had more softer shots but then again, his power punches were very powerful when they landed. It depends on what judges want to reward I suppose.
