If Rosemary had a chance at a new house she would take it a heartbeat, that is her attitude. Rosemary in near tears for Elizabeth building the house and not living next to her is turned off. E is Rose's friend, not her mother. seems like the show is about Rose Mary now.

Elisabeth is being very attached to the past, not all of Lucas's patience will be able to take this relationship forward. You have to give in, start a new life. Accepting that for Lucas it is also difficult to be in the house where she lived with Jack.

Yes it is true. I said that before. Elisabeth lived in that house with Jack and after they get married It is going to be uncomfortable for Lucas and she told him that she has a lot memories in that house. Rosemary should understand that also.Lucas has a lot of patience. I hope that it is not going to backfire on him.

yes, I think you are correct about your predictions/assumptions. I think she would have told him immediately she did not want to new house but it some more to her happy face turning sad when danced with Lucas.

The show needs to do a reset . The chemistry between Lucas and Elizabeth was great in Season 9 and the continuity of the episodes was great but this season is uneven and the writing isn’t very good. I thought Elizabeth wanting to stay in the same house did not ring true. This is a man that waited patiently for her to make up her mind for several years. He has been kind and thoughtful and has been a wonderful companion for little Jack. I think Lucas should have discussed it with her first but having said that, what woman wouldn’t want a wonderful new house with modern conveniences and room for your family to grow with your brand new knockout gorgeous husband. And I am so over all these people who want her to dump Lucas and be with Nathan. At this point, it’s borderline obsessive. I’ve said this before but it’s worth repeating. If you don’t like Lucas, don’t watch the show!

"If I don't like Lucas, don't watch the show?" Do you know how ridiculous you sound? I HATE Lucas and I'm just introduced to him since I'm currently on season 6. He sucks and Nathan is SO MUCH BETTER for Elizabeth and yet she picks the loser? I'm allowed to be upset about that and I'm allowed to watch the show if I choose. I'm not on this season but don't tell me that I shouldn't watch the show if I don't like Lucas. Lucas IS NOT and NEVER WILL BE the reason I watch the show. I watch the show for the drama as well as Elizabeth, even if she made a stupid choice.

Chris McNally received so many personal attacks after the writers chose his character to be with Elizabeth, it was disgusting. I watched the whole ep. I have a problem with Elizabeth's Character, she makes jokes about eloping and does not really consider a new house just staying next to Rosemary is unrealistic and terrible writing. Elizabeth is treating Lucas like he was married before and had kids but this is all new to him. E has gone through all of it but Lucas has not. She lacks consideration for his feelings in the relationship and sees the writer is writing everything her way just terrible writing. They need to compromise in their relationship.

I agree with you, also in this episode Elizabeth looked very selfish. And in past episodes she had said that home was where the heart was and now in this episode she says it's where the friends are, very differently than she thought before. It seems that she gives more importance to Rosemary than to her fiancé. I don't like that she doesn't take Lucas's feelings into account. And the bad thing is not that she told him not to move, but the fact that she told him, telling him that she would never be happy anywhere else. I didn't like this episode at all.

Exactly, when we start a life with someone else, we have to consider the feelings and the dreams and Elizabeth is not being respectful with Lucas' dreams

I thought I was the only one that this episode was so weird. But looking at the comments I realize that I'm not crazy and that everyone thinks like me. In this episode Elizabeth felt very selfish in my opinion, since she did not take Lucas's feelings into account and practically forces him to make what matters to her matter to him. And then she talks like it's bad that Lucas has great ideas. I am also not liking that they are giving too much importance to Rosemary than to Lucas!

I do notice the difference in the writing for everybody. I feel like we may not see a wedding until season 11. That will be disappointing. Any thoughts?

I love Lucas and Elizabeth together. I always believed and saw Lucas as the one for her!! Soulmates. Kindred Spirits. But right now it seems something is not on balance and i think it is building till it gets confronted. I felt for Lucas in the episode with what Elizabeth said about Home and Grand Gesture ( and no its not a bad thing doing grand gestures at all and Lucas gives his whole heart to her and the gestures. And the house was one of the main for their future and new life. Also what a missed chance this scene with the Union City dress and so on... they had such a good opportunity to callback to that time and the conversation about life, settling down - having parallels to that night to now.

Us hearties are all seeing the same thing in season 10 especially episode 5.there is definitely something wrong here. I also felt so bad for Lucas.He adores her ,she wasnt happy about the house .to me that’s not normal.The only explanation I have is the new writers .They are doing a terrible job.

I already did the same twice because this season isn’t giving us any romance.And only 4 episodes left.

Not even a kiss on this date…wow. Like I said in another comment, they kissed a lot in season 9 and in season 10 they are taking a brake. Cheeks 😘and ✋ kisses. Elisabeth is upset, Lucas is tense. Not a romantic date at all.Looks like the scene was cut. Elisabeth is too busy with Rosemary, the baby and other things that she is forgetting that she is engaged to Lucas. I think she was wrong saying to Luca that she has a lot of memories in that house and does not want to move.She has to put her old memories in her heart and make new ones with Lucas and little Jack. I don’t think that if the story was reversed and Lucas had a house that he shared with a deceased or ex wife she wasn’t going to like it moving in there. Things are going to change I think once they both realize what it is happening.

Your got it all right. Lucas is being too understanding here. He's so kind that he prefers to shut down his own feelings even though he's upset. We can clearly see he was sad. Elizabeth supposedly moved on from Jack 4 years ago. What the heck is that step back ? And both women literally panicking just because Lucas was planning a house a few minutes away from Rosie was so off, and I would say even ridiculous. It's not New-York or LA, chill. It's Hope Valley. Rosie and Elizabeth are both really wrong here. At least, people don't blame Lucas for once.

Elizabeth has morphed into a character that I just don't have patience for anymore. I'd rather watch the Lucas Bouchard show to be honest.

I love this season! To me it is a reminder of the first several seasons. There is more comedy and heartfelt moments. The only 2 things I wish would change is that they would give Henry a bigger role, as he used to have. I'm so thankful we can move away from the cave explosion and on to a new story. And, I wish they would change Faith's character. Why would any man pursue her when she is so wishy washy and brass. Her character was much more warm and open when she started as nurse.

Whats up with Lucas and Elizabeth? Now that theyre planning tomarry, the romance is gone? Where is the chemistry between Lucas & Elizabeth. I feel shes putting Lucas down right and left. She used to be so thoughtful, now she seems so selfish. Very disappointed with Episode 5! Please dont ruin what has been a really good show! I guess we are all seeing the big change in L& E this season. They don’t seem at all like the couple in seadon9,what are these writers doing??

I'm disappointed in WTCH season 10. I've been an avid watcher since season 1 from the beginning of time and i just don't understand what happened with the writing in this season but it is terrible. Screen play - is terrible. There is usually a more contemplative style to the characters and how they speak but its so stretched and messy, it feels out of character for the characters. Episode 5 was horrendous.. good heavens. I think Elizabeth has an adverse reaction to anything modern or trying anything new. Lucas wanting to build his future wife and son a castle is not a bad thing and yet her sentimentality and myopic mindset is really limiting her as a character but the potential of what a future as Mrs. Lucas would look like. It is important to see Elizabeth growing as a character but we don't see it. I've seen Lucas' character grow and adapt astoundingly... but Elizabeth's character has plateau and its very frustrating as a fan to watch your favourite couple and realize... everything Lucas does is..wrong?? I don't know why date him if he can't be a bit of himself. I don't mean to rant but I really love this show. I grew up watching it and in my very difficult moments this show brought me an immense comfort which is why my honesty is really not meant to be.. ill or gross. WCTH season 10 feels like someone started a brand new series using the same characters but there was no continuation from the previous season. I was so engaged in the oil company and how they'd handle that with Mike and Fiona coming up with some strategy but there was nothing. I was excited to see Molly getting closer to Bill with his health issues but ...nothing. I was excited for Mei and Nathan... but they did a 180 and now its Faith and Nathan. I mean... since when did she have a flame realistically going for Nathan when she had one all along for Carson.. irregardless if they had friction. I see new characters with new stories but i don't get closure from what we endured in season 9 which was excellent. And my final peeve is... there's no romance to Lucas and Elizabeth. I don't know what they did but the writing was compromised and the screenplay was compromised. They have to try harder to maintain the good standard they had... i mean loyal fans are watching

New Show runner. One if the long time writers said RM is the new show writer's favorite. Also agree, this season is staged so differently than any season and there have been various new Show runners through the years. Definitely they have messed with L&E.

This is the worst season of WCH,. The baby was too big, and The lady who wanted to buy land had the same outfit in each episode Is this a different day.? Roberts's sister mentioned having to leave Hope Valley which was resolved in the last episode when Lee hired her dad, Why did Lee toss all of the clothes in the door on the floor
