These two are gold! Superb acting.

This scene was absolute perfection. The writing, the acting, the subtleties and at the same time the profound statement of their love for each other that the moment carried were all that this Heartie had hoped for in waiting impatiently (I’m old) for this moment. Krakow and McNally have brought Elizabeth and Lucas to a new level this season. A grateful fan.

Also I think Lucas has either gone to get the ring (either family heirloom or he already has one), gone to Elizabeth’s father to ask her hand in marriage or gone to the place he mentioned earlier when he went horseback riding to get the land and build a home for the three of them. These are my guesses.

Or I felt like taking the horse was his way of letting her know that he hasn’t gone for long and will be back. I still feel like Lucas has gone to do something concerning the next step in his and their journey (I love for him to buy the place and land he went and saw the view at for them)

One of the many things that I LOVE about this show is the complexity of a character like Lucas. We have seen such vulnerability in discussing his childhood and upbringing. We have seen his self doubt in his business decisions and the desire to do the right thing and what happens when it gets out of his control. We have seen his love for Elizabeth and his love for little Jack evolve so so much this season. It’s just so many layers and the build up to I love you as a small moment because there have been so many other declarations of love in so many ways this season (and really since season six .. the library the book etc..) it was almost redundant to hear the actual words.

I’ve resolved this week to only post positive things because this is the best season of WCTH and I’m enjoying it so much. I guess to the negative nellies the most positive thing I can say is the classics Southern exclamation, “Well, bless your heart!” 😁

I hope Lucas does ask Elizabeth to marry him, for sure that's what I'm hoping but you don't know what could happen. Hey I'm trying to be positive here and not negative. Just got to wait to see what happens

It's coming. There has been foreshadowing and hints (in words) each episode or so - about marriage and wedding so its coming. It be lovely in season 10 to do a wedding with celebrating 10 years of WCTH too

If Lucas chooses to leave Hope Valley, then Elizabeth had better stay far away from using and abusing Nathan for a second go-around. What she did in pitting Lucas and Nathan against each other while playing them on puppet strings, was disgusting, to say the very least. If Lucas should ultimately leave at one point in the future, I hope by then, that Nathan will have genuinely fallen in love with a beautiful, spectacular woman of real character, who will bring the greatest love, joy, adventure, and blessings to both Nathan and Allie. Elizabeth should NEVER be romantically involved with Nathan ever again. She simply does NOT deserve him.

Elizabeth didnt use anyone!!! Neither did she abuse anyone. i dont understand the need to make false interpretations or thinking Nathan is some poor old dude. No Elizabeth was going through something and she did tell Nathan NO couple of times but he did not get it and HE is the one who kept pushing and also kept a big secret. Elizabeth was NEVER felt anything romantically for Nathan as cleared up in last season. Elizabeth deserves better and she has it. Lucas is coming back cos he was never going to leave Elizabeth and he went on a horse not his car lol.

Is Lucas a good guy? He seems to attract and do business people of questionable reputations. Are his intentions honorable? Don’t get wishy washy with the other people of Hope Valley. Viewer’s interest gets lost very easily. The writers should be seasoned enough to keep our interest.

Lucas has always been a good guy. Honourable and upstanding. Seen each season. Lucas business - oil bussiness is cos of Gowen... Lucas was silent partner but Henry was undercutting the business so Lucas took over and was paying the workers out of his own pocket. He wants to sell the Oil business but FIona goes ahead and makes a deal with shifty ppl to get the Mine open. Not Lucas fault. Walden and Spurlock are grifters meaning taking all businesses so to open a foundry. They went after Lucas cos he has the saloon - the most important building in Hope Vally. So its not Lucas fault. And yes he is selfless and honourable since he came!!

This series is now so "woke" that all of the mounties are trans and the horses are gay. The school now teaches only cultural Marxism.

You know he is going to propose, you know they will get married. Why do you do this crap. Would love for both of them to get married and leave Hope Valley for good. Fire the head writer and get some good writers in there that are not going to be bias in there writing of certain characters.

Firstly everyone should know this already… Certain characters esp Elizabeth will always be central just like she has been since season 1 because she is the lead protagonist!!! It’s her story/voiceovers and love story along with a emsemble cast. And of course they are going to get married. She has found her next second love, that was always going to happen etc!!!

I hope he walks away. Terrible actor. As promised have not watched an episode this year. Still disappointed with last year's results. Deleted all my saved episodes!! Must admit though I miss Rosemary (Paul Green!!!).

Firstly Chris McNally is a fantastic actor. Last years so called result was based on build up and who it was all along which was Lucas. Go and rewatch who had the build up and who Elizabeth felt around.
