    For your ace-high flush hand at the 13:00 mark, I understand the notion that there COULD be a straight flush in play, but only one person is going to have it. Fading board pairs is the most obvious concern, but I still favor a raise to 400 in your spot. If the board pairs the river, you can find a fold. If it doesn't, you're not getting paid off by worse hands, and only a straight flush is raising you. Stack sizes and player tendencies of course factor into decisions, but applying pressure to sets and two pair + weaker made flush combos is the better line to take in my opinion. If they're going to bink their river card, don't let it be for cheap.

    You have to call the AAxx hand with top set on both, in fact it’s better to shove yourself as you realized later. You’re extremely unlikely to lose both.

    Hi GMoney, I am a fan of your content. I am just wondering if there are any smaller stake PLO in Austin running daily, like 1-2 or 2-5?

  • @thereelkennyrogers

    The Lodge will sometimes get a 2-2 PLO game running that has a $700 max buy-in. But honestly, most PLO games in Austin play much bigger than the stakes. Rarely, you may see a 1-1 PLO game with a $300 max that makes somewhere, but they're few and far between.

    @@thereelkennyrogers thanks man, much appreciated. So the main game running in Austin is 5-10 plo with 1k buyin?

  • @thereelkennyrogers

    @thereelkennyrogers

    7 ай бұрын

    @@fufuhu148 What I would refer to as the 'main game' is the 1/2/5 PLO at The Lodge. That is a $200-$1000 initial buy-in at start of a new table, but afterwards you can match the big stack. It is not uncommon to see stacks over $5k at the 1/2/5. Typically 2-4 tables running most days. 5/5/10 usually makes most days. Typically only 1 table.

    This vlog only further illustrates that Aces never win in PLO. Pot it pre flop, get five callers, miss the flop and end up in no man’s land and be forced to fold to a bet. That’s aces in plo lol.
