Watched your BG3 sessions and very much loved it! I wanted to see what you did next, but saw this pop up a few days ago and decided to skip it because I’m not a LoTR fan. But today I decided to give it a shot, thought I’d watch for about 30 minutes or so - and I’m SO GLAD I did! Watched the whole thing in one sitting. Thoroughly entertaining. The standout moment was in the encounter, as the flames had been lit, and Chris decided he needs to step back and deal with the flames first. Mark’s probably thinking, ‘Good move, thinking strategically. There’ll be water in the corner for you to use, should you spot it.’ “iS tHeRe A MirRoR?” 😂

I think I would want to play a Fëanorian elf if I could, born during the siege of Angband and who served Curufin, then Celebrimbor. He would have taken part in the battle of sudden flame and fights afterwards (maybe he was involved in saving Orodreth), the Union of Maedhros, the second kinslaying (this would probably be the most important thing for his backstory), and the fall of Eregion (again, a big moment). He would have forgotten most of his fighting skills and the important history, but not the horrors he endured and especially not the horrors he inflicted on others.

It's probably not, I believe they're still working on it. I'm pretty sure they post updates on the studio on their patron, though.

Ok…so I have heard repeatedly that you’ll need to know the 5e rules in order to play this campaign/setting. What specific rules is that? Outside of the action economy and combat…what other 5e base rules are needed if you play this using only the setting of LOTR?

what kind of witchcraft is this? The Lord of the Rings in a channel named HR DnD...loved the intro, music and deep voice, the map scrolling lets see lf there is a epic story behind all this.

Would also love to see you play the Fallout 2d20 Roleplaying game.

I was like they are playing the The One ring, finally something other than DnD, that would elevate this cool channel with a great cast over the hunders of other dnd actual play channels, but then I saw it's still just dnd with lotr setting :/ sometimes I wish dnd was less popular and stopped overshadowing the hundreds of great other rpgs 😅

So it's still the one ring book just the mechanics have been changed to 5e to help transitions! The company actually had many amazing realistic mechanics to make it feel as if it is a Tolkien world and I've been working on a LLLOONNNG return to Moria campaign and it's quite a fun mechanic system!

AiTME is the only version of 5e that I have been tempted to run, so it is interesting to see it's replacement in action After watching this, now trying to resist getting this new version too, I have TOR, but the team made it so appealing Thanks One note for Mr Hulme's for his "celebrity" convention D&D show, Johnny Chiodini pronounces their surname as "Kyoh-dee-nee" not "chee-o-dee-nee"
