Hey friends, just a quick note into the health benefits of the aush - it's packed with anti-inflammatory ingredients like beans, lentils, garlic, onions, spices such as turmeric, and a generous helping of a variety of greens. To make the recipe in the traditional way, I used a fair amount of oil, but remember, you can reduce the amount as some oils might contribute to inflammation. If you want to learn more about foods that fight inflammation, watch our video on it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qHmZt9p-ZNfeo5s.htmlsi=X9oYPd6PrQiXrUYO 🫶

Legumes contain phytates, which are not inflammatory. Grains are inflammatory, including noodles, made with wheat flour. PUFA oils like soy, corn and canola are inflammatory.

Clearly not the best option if you're not home most of the day, but if you have the time and want to make it extra traditional and as my mom says, reduse gas even more, try leaving it on the stove from morning:))

Love your recipes ! Just wanted to share a secret of cooking beans thats works a treat for me. Gas from eating beans comes if I dont cook them beans enough, soaking water is irrelevant. So on common pot and lid, cook for at least 60 mins, never less. If the beans you are eating are delicious and creamy, but you still having issues, try cooking them further 10 mins or try removing other stuff from the recipe, like onions or fructan containing ingredients you mixing in de pot. bonus tip: Salt your soaking water at 2%, overnight, then discard the brine and rinse the beans. No need salting when cooking unless you really want to
