This would be great if it could handle 200VDC input. I want to take 120VAC, rectify and filter it then put it into a device like this, then I could take the output into a 36V 86W [2.38A] LED chip but set the duty cycle so the LED is running at about 50W. In essence use it as a variable power supply.

I found that very interesting, since I need an igbt-gate-driver (switching the igbt on-and-off with 200-500mA), while the igbt-driver is itself driven by such a pwm-generator at maximum 35-45kHz (pwm-generator looks the same as yours, but outputs only 5mA - 30mA )... Do u think I can use a generator like yours, since it can output up to 8A ??? How do I limit the output current then (?), since I need only 0.5A and not 8A ??? (I have no clue if I really have to limit the gate-triggering-current, or if it actually self-regulates according to the igbt-gate´s-demands) Thanks for any answer !!! I have no idea about electronics, and so, have to find a ready-made solution for my problem...

Can we use it to actuate a 12v actuator of 4 ohms

He said the mosfet handles up to 8 amps. ohm's law would be... 12 divided by 4 = 3 amps. You actuator should have a rating of 3 amps printed on it which is well under the 8 amp capability of the device. You need to use a supply which be able to handle the load such as 12v at 4 amps which would be 75% load on the supply during constant on.
