I have had an increasing cca score from 275 to 650 in less than 2 yrs. Have put T2DM in remission and BP in low range by keto diet. MD wanted to increase Crestor dose but I stopped it until I can resolve all of the side effects( cognitive, mitochondrial damage, depletion of cell nutrients like COq10) vs limited benefits of taking it. 14:04

Did you start taking a Statin when you got the first score of 275? Statins will increase your Calcium Score, as it is stabilizing plaque. The issue is that you still have soft plaque to stabilize, so your score is increasing while on Statins.

i once had a cal test and my score was...are you sitting down?...2400. my doctor panicked and said i am in dire straights and needed to see a specialist ASAP. i got one of the top cardiologists in austin. he said SLOOOOOW down. gave me stress test, other exams and said i seem ok. awhile later, he said he was concerned about a dye movement in heart and eventually a stent was placed, which took a LOOONG time. seems they had to kinda clean out enough calcium or such with a sander so the stent could fit and be set. however, perhaps i need nothave had the stent, i still breathe better under early movement, but that was awhile back.

🙏 for detailed, clear explanation. I know it was covered in previous videos. But we need the updated guidance to stay focused to stabilize the plaque already there. My doctor read me the calcium score, said it was 10 years beyond my age, he did not spend a minute to explain any details. He pressed a high dose statin 💊, didn't even touch on lifestyle, diet change or inflammation. Your way is much better.

My CIMT results are confusing. I am 53 yrs old. My average measurement is 0.63 - but the test says mildly abnormal? It does show a plaque only on right carotid bulb and then the final diagnosis says: occlusions & stenosis of bilateral carotid arteries. What do they mean by arteries? Does this mean inner & outer carotid? Since my intima seems to be in normal range is the mildly abnormal result due to the finding of plaque on my right bulb? It also doesn’t say wether it’s soft, hard or mixed plaque. I do have FH

You should cover how sugar and insulin cause the transcodes. When insulin is in the blood it causes the cells to seperate where the cholesterol sticks. If there is no insulin in the blood there is no transycosis.

Does anyone know how to obtain calcium score test without a doctor's prescription? My cardiologist is saying since score only gets worse over time, it's not worth re-testing. My CAC score in '22 was 219. I've seen gone on a major diet overhaul, elminated red meat, now eating tons of beans, cabbage, chicken, fish, nuts, etc... Dropped 20 pounds. Work out every day. I'm 60. So how can I obtain a CAC test without a doctor's prescription? I'm more than happy to pay for the test myself. Thanks

@@SET12DSP I have never seen proof from a reliable source that vegan can cure anything. I have however seen veganism almost kill several people. Vegan is high carb high sugar creating massive inflammation in the arteries causing plaque build up. On top of that unless your taking supplements you are starving yourself of every vitamin and mineral that you need. I don’t know anything about the Linus Pauling protocol. Sounds interesting i’m going to have to do some reading. If you watch Dr. Brewers earlier videos he goes over his own plaque reversal using k2. In some people yes. The research I have seen indicates if you drop your LDL down using statins and/or strict diet, at 70 mg/dl plaque deposition is neutral - you don't gain anymore or lose any. If you go below 70 mg/dl, you can actually start removing plaque. It's not guaranteed for everyone because these numbers are statistical averages of a large population. So there is no absolute guarantee it will work at these levels. But it is a good guidepost to shoot for. Crestor has easily allowed me to get LDL into the mid 60s even at a low dose. I could get it to 50 with fairly modest dietary changes.

@@dontfit6380 He "reversed it" by taking a Statin for the very the first time. Didn't you hear him? He said I was a long-term statin hater at (13:29), but I finally decided to take one for this experiment (the experiment where he measured his before and after CMIT while on a statin). As far as what his LDL was, I don't know. You say you know what it was? Or are you just assuming whatever fits your preconceived notion? Also, none of this gets into a before and after CAC test of his heart vasculature. It is very rare and difficult to reverse that score. It's probably a lot easier to get a lower CIMT score due to its less accurate and more subjective measuring modality.
