    As a meteorologist, this is a great video 95% of people I speak to love the weather and I think that's awesome. It's cool to see people want to know the dynamics. Bonus points if you learn about El Niño (ENSO)! sea and air are ever connected. all El Niño is is a warming of surface SST (sea surface temps) in the eastern pacific. That "little" change causes world wide effect. gotta love the dynamics!

    This was super helpful! My lousy 8th grade teacher didn't explain well enough for me and just gives us notes that doesn't go into much detail of why it occur - she just says it just does. This video helps give the reasons why, which is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much. :))

    Great video! However, you don't want high pressure system if you in a heavy air pollution enviroment. The high pressure weather system will promte a phenomena call "subsidsnce inversion" which will trap all of the pullant and distribute in the ground level.

    Low pressure to me would make you feel better cause there less gravity pressure weight upon you so you will feel more buoyant in storm days like almost walking on the moon ie not much gravity on stormy rainy weather i would think.

    Hello, Thank you for this quick and easy explanation, it really helped me alot. But i have a another question. Since im at the beginning phase of my private pilot license, we're in the middle of Meteorology. In the book regarding High Pressure it doesnt really explain it 100% like this, so i wanted to hear your view. In our book it says that the cold air comes from above through convergence, then it presses together through subsidence, and heats again adiabaticly . So how do you explain your High pressure to be only cold air coming down, when in essence the air is warm, which keep clouds away. Thank you. Greg from Copenhagen :-)

    Worth noting the 'clockwise' for high pressure systems and 'anti-clockwise' for low is true for the northern hemisphere. In the southern hemisphere it's the other way around.

    In the Southern Hemisphere do high pressure systems rotate counter clockwise?

  • @jayyssoul1109

    @jayyssoul1109

    3 жыл бұрын

    No, this is because of the Coriolis effect. The upper and downward strengths are slower than near the equator. In the upper and southern hemisphere’s its slow, this causes clouds and such to move faster because of the slower motions. Near the equator its faster, causing clouds and such to go behind, since it’s so fast. Since with this knowledge you know now it moves in a counter clockwise formation up in the northern hemisphere causing hurricanes, you can infer it’s the opposite in the southern hemisphere, causing Typhoons (same thing just different name because of the different rotation.)

The red color is always illustration for warm air we can even see in your example. but why you always give Red for low pressure and you say that low pressure is warm ???
