When my wife died from breast cancer I played this song at her funeral as we closed the casket for the last time. We all stood up and sang along with tears in our eyes truly knowing there is no pain in Heaven. Four years later when my Mom died from breast cancer I sang this song to myself as the Hearst drove away. The comfort this song has brought to me during these times could never be expressed in words. Event though my heart ached when i lost them both, this song reminded me they both were in a better place.

My mom's friend died overseas and we didnt know so it was a shock when we found out she passed to cancer. I went to church the Sunday after we found out and the choir sang Till the storm passes over and both my mom and I cried. Hearing this song now reminds me that heaven is better than this. Yesterday I went to a funeral of someone who died of cancer and she gave her life to the lord 6 days before she passed. Im a young person and I surprise people with my love for the lord but God knows what he is doing. The lord bless and keep you all and cause his face to shine upon you and give thee peace. Let peace be within thy walls and prosperity within thy gates from now and forevermore Amen.

A true, TRUE classic. Johnny’s voice, Nitty Gritty’s back ground, the addition of so many other talents just make it perfect! Then that fiddle & banjo just adds to the whole thing. It’s MAGIC 🪄! The shot of Rossane, and that smile, nearly had me crying-she seemed so pleased to be playing with Dad. All those young faces - I miss ‘em.

I get chills every time I watch this video. This is probably the greatest collaboration of talent imaginable.

I never sing in public, but, when my mom passed away as us her kids were gathered around her bedside along with all her grandchildren, I could only express my feelings and sang this. My voice was shaking and the tears were streaming down my face, but I felt the comfort the lyrics express.I hope that if you are facing the pain of a loss, this gives you some comfort too.

Got diagnosed with rare form of liver cancer in March 2020 and they give me 11 months to live. Through prayers and God's blessings my chemo treatments are working. I love this version and listen to it often. All Glory to GOD.

A beautiful and true song. During my childhood I found solace in this song. Just at the age of 18 my Father was taken from my Mom and me. Just a few years ago my Mother was sick and alone at home. My wife and children lived just about 3 miles from her home. I saw her on a Saturday taking her some supper when she began to plead with me to stay for a while. The pleading got so bothersome, I got angry and told her I would be back in the morning with her breakfast. She was sitting on her couch in her den watching TV. I said my goodbye not kissing her on the cheek and walked down the hallway, slammed the front door, locked it and left. Sunday morning I found myself living out the words to this song. I found my Mother has passed away overnight. I stood alone at her front door as the hearse pulled up. I went outside a few minutes later from out the front door the funeral directors were bringing out my Mothers covered body on a stretcher and gently placed her in the back of the hearse. As the coach drove away I was drowning in tears. Take warning people there are many songs that speak to us. I wouldn't wish anyone in my shoes. I am so sorry Mother.😭

That is a tremendous burden to carry. I have a similar one. My burden was lessened by a dream I had long after my brother had passed. If you are a believer, believe this. Mom is not mad, and she sure is not sad where she is...but she would be both of those things if she knew you were suffering because of her. She's free. You need to be. A few things happened the day my brother died to make me feel less heartbroken than I was. But the thing I remember most is driving aimlessly in my car, not paying attention to anything but grief, and a song came on where I immediately snapped out of my despair because the band was immediately recognizable CCR. My brother and I have an affinity for the band, especially the song Lodi. Since many of the songs from credence are way overplayed on the radio, what struck me was that I didn't recognize the song and I had never heard it before... As long as I see the light. Check it out. Then Ripple by the grateful dead came on on and I knew I didn't have to worry about my brother. He wasn't worried. Nor should you be. God Bless. Johnny Cash was my brother's favorite. This song with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is phenomenal. Bytheway, my brother's favorite song was When I'm Gone by Anna Kendrick. It was a long time before I could listen to that one. Check it out. Yesterday my mother turned 85. She died from pulmonary fibrosis about 6 years ago and loved this song. This year I've been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and the outlook on life is bleak. I am looking so forward to seeing momma once again soon. WHERE THE CIRCLE WILL NEVER BE UNBROKEN!

@Grant Crawford : I know, RIGHT? So very BEAUTIFUL, yet so very painful at the same time. Makes me think of my beloved mother, who just turned 91 on October 20, 2020. I don't know how I will ever be able to let her go, but I know that one day I must. This gospel song, here performed by all of these wonderful artists, makes my heart ache in agony, but equally fills me up with a hope that will not be diminished. Yes, brings on goosebumps...and tears.

We played this at both my parent's funerals. Such a beautiful version of a beautiful song.

Every Time I listen to this version of the circle it brings tears to my eyes. The old time country star power in this video makes feel close to the Lord and I'm not a religious person.

This is the greatest gospel song done by the best group that will even sing it. A gem of American culture.

My beautiful mama passed away on May 11th, 2021 and she loved this version of this song so much that we played it at her funeral.If everyone who took part in singing this song knew my mother they would know that they really reached the epitome of their careers when they sang this at her funeral. She was an amazing woman and only the best were allowed there. Thank God for those true Christians who sang this.

All my life my Dad would play his guitar on Christmas day and we as a family always sang this song. We had this played at the cemetery. We listened for a minute and at the same time myself, my Mother and my 2 sisters started singing. I know my Dad was right there with us because I felt him as we sang along. Precious memories!! We grew up going to square dances and different places. My Daddy made our life full of music, country music. I'm so grateful that he did.

I sang this song at my grandmother’s funeral and it was the hardest thing I’d ever done in spite of beginning to sing in church every week at the age of 3. I’ve always sang in front of groups but this particular song tugged at my heart when trying to decide on what to sing for her. I'm sorry for your loss. I too need to speak out more on mental health, alcohol and suicide prevention. My Dad, in physical and mental pain took his life, by accident, when I was 12(now 76) and like many stuffed that memory down. Too painful to deal with, but our Lord Jesus Christ has given me hope and love. He will give it to you too. God bless.

This music is the only cultural heritage that every country in the world should (some does) envy to the United States of America: a place where all the countries lives but one country is. Seeing how things are going there, it kills my heart. When we will rebuild this polluted, lonesome, violent world, we should restart from music. This is a good start. I watched this series mainly because of my father who loved all music, but especially Country. Even though I am The Beatles generation, my father gave me my first Hank Williams album when I was eleven. I knew he would have loved this series and felt sad he wasn't here to see it. The other reason for watching was because I have always admired the work of Ken Burns. My opinion, he Really Outdid himself with this one !!! Amazing. Only thing is, now that it's over, what's to look forward to?

My mother has been gone since 2006 her name was Dawn Hoffman around last week or the week before that my grandma and I invited some people over to do a celebration of life now I finally found this song again it makes me shed tears every time I hear these lines "I said that to under taker, under taker please drive slow for this lady you are carrying lord I'd hate to see her go." as well as "Oh I followed close behind her tried to hold up and be brave but I could not hide my sorrow when they laid her in the grave" I may have only known her for three of my infant life but being older it weights heavier knowing that despite being told at the age of 10 by my cousin but I digress I have her ashes and a neck lease that has her birth stone and ashes I can wear any where. I love you Mom you will always be in my heart

My mom passed from Colon Cancer January 2019. I sang this song almost all the time. When the herse came to get her, they let us have a minute with her. In 2002 she had her leg amputated due to diabetes. People say im crazy, but when i kisses her the final time, i seen her in a distance, waving goodbye at me, she had 2 perfect feet. She was dancing just like a little girl does. I know what i saw, so if I'm crazy, im crazy.❤

I believe you, My mother came to see me in 1993 after I had a bad accident, she died when I was 3 in 1960, she told me I would be OK, and I am, the Dr.'s though I would be a Vegetable if I lived long at all.

I lost my mother the day after Christmas in 2020. It was completely unexpected and very hard on me and my younger sisters as we were only 22, 20 and 19 years old. She was a beloved special education teacher here in our home state of West Virginia. She will always be loved and missed everyday. After her passing I really started to question what happens after you die and hoped that she was in a place with no pain and she only feels love and joy. This song reminds me every time I hear it that she is home with God and she is looking down on us from a far with no pain, no suffering and only feeling love.

@@SeemsFutileNow I get great comfort and assurance to know what Bible said about death . “ Because I live , you shall live also .” ( John 11:25 ) His Word is enough for me to know we are spiritual beings having a human experience. One of my favorite verses in Bible is that ,” Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead die no more ; death has no more dominion over him .” ( Romans 6:9 ) May God keep you and watches over you all the days of your life and throughout eternity.

This song brings back memories of my mother who died on Christmas morning back in December 25, 1991. I saw the hearst drive off from her house to the funeral home. I miss my momma but I know someday I will see her and together we will worship the Lord Jesus for all eternity.

I had been with my family at my grandpa’s bedside a week ago today. At about 12am on 9/11 I decided to go home. Literally as I pulled into my driveway and turned my truck off I get a phone call from my mom that my grandpa had passed. After a good long hug from my girlfriend I set outside on our back deck drank a beer, smoked a cigarette, and played this song.

My great aunt just passed away. She was more of a grandmother to me than my real grandmothers ever were. She and her sister would play this song when I was a baby. I always have and always will think of her when I play this song. I love you forever my sweet aunt. 🕊🕊🕊🕊

I needed this so bad. I lost my amazing, loving mom to cancer this past Sunday. She would play this and sing it around the house when I was younger. I love this edit and it puts some peace and comfort knowing she's in heaven looking over me and my family. I love and miss you mom...if only heaven was closer. Hug Gramma and grampa and tell them I love and miss them. I'll see you all one day.

So sorry! I lost my g-pa 10 months ago to cancer, and my uncle 7 months ago. Both great men! Both served in the Army. Korea, and Vietnam. My uncle was exposed to agent orange. I think about them everyday!! God bless you all!!!

My dear Mama years ago with me at her bedside. I still miss her every day.She worked so hard and raised 8 kids.. only through strength from Jesus Christ have I been able to live on in her memory. I’m 84 now and reminisce more and more about my siblings and daddy too who have passed away. I know I’ll see my mama in the resurrection Day.

For sure, I know, my Dad was one of 13 kids! Many are gone now, including my Dad! A very religious family! This reminds me of music played in one room Church!

This song was played at my daddy’s funeral. The man who sang and played the guitar played it just like this cause daddy always loved good picking and singing. I miss you daddy but I will see you again someday

Bobby, I want you to know I was moved by your reply. You see, both of my parents are still living. That is something I absolutely must remember. What a lot of people don't know is that video there took many many months to produce I was on the staff I know what these guys went through I love them I love bringing Johnny and and all the other singers but that was from the heart what you all don't understand is this is the music from the heart they didn't have to do that but we set down in a hotel room one night and they said this is what we want to do and we made it happen thank you all we love you keep supporting your country music singers

My dad died in February, i hardly cried, but when I hear this song, tears 😭, flow.

I absolutely love this song , thank God I still have my mom she is 74 years old and she's still as busy as when I was a kid and this song just reminds me of all the things you need to think about these days

My mom passed January 2021, and this is one of the songs we played. Miss her so much

This was my grandmother's funeral song. I miss her terribly tonight. The beautiful thing about this song is it holds the same meaning for so many people

You couldn't ask for more great names in one place at the same time. Just amazing.

I am an Ottawa Valley boy, weekends were spent at Grandma and Grandpa' s. Dad on the fiddle, grandpa on the guitar, auntie Joan on the piano, cousins on the banjo Ovilla, and the mandelins edgar and Yvon..........all passed now except my aunt...... I miss those days!

I'm in a bar band and we end every single show with this song and I have goosebumps when I'm playing guitar and all of the sudden I am hearing nothing but the audience singing along with me and over powering the entire band. It's just like church on Sunday.

I played this same recording at my mother in laws celebration of life 2 years ago. Always brings tears.

after all these years I still cry to this one....better world awaiting in the sky lord in the sky...oh but so hard for us left here on earth.....

I lost my mom last year on the 8th of September I was so devastated i was even pregnant and so her death caused me to go into early labor but thank God my surgery was successful and my baby was alive and well. Even now listening to this song tears are running down my cheeks I can't believe she is gone. 😭😭😭😭😭

I lost my mom 17 years ago and a couple weeks after her funeral someone at my church sang this. I was sitting in the choir loft and looked out to see my brother just sobbing. Of course that set me off as well. I lost my brother 3 months ago. I am looking forward to a complete circle one of these days!
