The village is not a place to skip! Sandwiched between Sangla and Rakchha and further Chhitkul; Batseri village of Sangla Valley is a hidden magic with old wooden houses, apple orchids, apricot trees, wild farms, pine forests, a monastery and a temple all in one place.
Probably its underrated nature has made it Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali’s favourite, so much so that he shot Love Aaj Kal here, and earlier had an idea for the movie Tamasha here.
It is located at a distance of 80km from Indo-Tibet Borde, and 20km from Chhitkul which is popularly termed as the last Indian village, by the tourists.
For me, Batseri is now on the list of the most beautiful villages in Himachal Pradesh.
