LIVING LIKE A KINNAURI | Villages of Hindustan-Tibet Marg | Nichar Valley & Bari Village
Kinnaur is a place of enchantment, brimming with mysteries, rich culture, and breathtaking scenery. Rediscovering its lesser-known facets made me fall in love with the valley anew. My journey led me to the unexplored Nichar Valley, home to the ancient trekking path of the Hindustan-Tibet Marg. Within this valley lie six villages, each boasting its own charm and ancient temples.
Among these, Shri Maheshwar Temple in Sungra village captivated me the most. After spending a day in Nichar Valley, I ventured to a neighbouring village, often referred to as the 'Cherrapunji of Himachal' due to its excessive rainfall. Bari Village presented some of the most stunningly lush green vistas I have ever encountered.

Credits to you that you explore the hidden 18/20 valley of kinnaur. 1st, for your kind information chhitkul and rakcham are not located in upper kinnaur, its strange that we kinnauri people doesn't know much about the bushehr estate.... please come and explore the baspa valley to know the history of Baspa Valley. Glad to you exploring kinnaur areas through your blog, But for kind information madam G , Adha adura gyaan lekar kisi gaon ke baare me na bole , 1stly Chhitkul is not located in upper kinnaur it's located in lower kinnaur sangla valley.. Mujhe to hairani hoti h ki kinnaur ke logon ko abi tk yah pta nhi h ki lower kinnaur kahan tk h and uppr kinnaur kahan tkk... Vo b chhitkul jese village ke bare me joki ek tourism place and survey of cleanest air of India ki list me top pr h .. 2ndly " Allah ka meaning God nhi h , it's an expression... Na ki koi God... Rahi baat language ki wo sbi languages ka mixer h ... Muje bus aapko yahi btana tha So your most welcome our beautiful village and explore it . 🙏🏿🙏🏿
