Saw Kashmir’s lost Nalanda & Teethwal LoC Crossing

India lost Sharada Peeth University thousands of years back and the Sharada Peeth Temple in the India-Pakistan war of 1947-48, when we lost the area which is called Pakistan-occupied Kashmir now (POK).
Sharada Peeth, an ancient Hindu temple that was a learning centre, is now located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. From the 6th to 12th centuries CE, it was one of the most renowned temple universities in the Indian subcontinent, famed for its extensive library. Scholars travelled great distances to study its texts. Sharada Peeth played a crucial role in the development of the Sharada script, lending Kashmir the name "Sharada Desh" or "country of Sharada."
As one of the Maha Shakti Peethas, Hindus believe it marks the spiritual site where the goddess Sati's right hand fell. It is a key pilgrimage site for Kashmiri Pandits, alongside the Martand Sun Temple and the Amarnath Temple.
It is located about 150 km from Muzaffarabad (POK), and 130 km from Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, Sharada Peeth sits just 10 km from the Line of Control. Kashmiri Pandits consider it as the abode of Shiva.
I experienced a little part of this history in the LoC village of Kupwara in Kashmir; Tithwal/Teethwal, located 30mins away from Tangdhar.
Teethwal Bridge (now a closed LOC Crossing) used to be a crucial land connection for the people of India and POK until it was closed due to Terrorism.
People of Teethwal, along with the Sharada Mata Temple, Committee have now constructed a new temple, Gurudwara, Mosque and a church in memory of the lost Sharada Peeth temple sitting in a dilapidated state across the Line of control.

The Śāradā, Sarada or Sharada script is an abugida writing system of the Brahmic family of scripts. The script was widespread between the 8th and 12th centuries in the northwestern parts of Indian Subcontinent (in Kashmir and neighbouring areas), for writing Sanskrit and Kashmiri.[4][1][5] Although originally a signature Brahminical script created in the valley, it was more widespread throughout northwestern Indian subcontinent, although became later restricted to Kashmir, and it is now rarely used, except by the Kashmiri Pandit community for religious ,,,, HINDU MUSLIM SIKH ITIHAD
