Hidden Muslim community in Beijing. Can I call it a vlog with 40 minutes?

Changying Hui Township is a township (region) under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing, located in the eastern part of Chaoyang District. Changying Mosque is located in Changying Ethnic New Village, Changying District, Chaoyang District, Beijing.
In 1986, the Chaoyang District People's Government announced the "Changying Mosque" as a "Cultural Relics Protection Unit in Chaoyang District, Beijing." Changying Mosque has three gates from south to north. The overall building faces east and west, and is a two-entry courtyard. On the north side of the first courtyard are men's and women's water rooms, and on the south side are five women's classrooms. The main hall is a rolling shed style three-roll hook-and-loop structure. The front pavilion is a large hard mountain tile with a large ridge, and the back building is a resting mountain hoop. There is a hexagonal pointed pavilion on the ridge of the head, and the roof is made of yellow and green glazed tiles. The main hall is sub-shaped in plane, with five rooms wide and eight rooms deep, and can accommodate 200 to 300 Muslims worshiping at the same time. At the beginning of the 21st century, a female temple was built for female Muslims to worship. The Changying Mosque houses 30 manuscripts of the Quran, 2 volumes of "Wei Ga Ye", 1 volume of "Erga Ye Dai", 4 "Ga Zui" and other scriptures, as well as special bronzes made by the temple during the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Pedophilia is autorised in Islam : The waiting period of those of your women who have lost all expectation of menstruation shall be three months in case you entertain any doubt; and the same shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated. As for pregnant women, their waiting period shall be until the delivery of their burden. ….. (Quran s65, v4) Pedophilia in Islam is directly linked to Muhammad who married Aisha when she was only 6 years old. It’s actually not… Hui is short for Huihui, which is a word doesn’t have a meaning in Chinese and best explained as an alternative pronunciation of Huihu or Huihe, which are ancient Turkic people from Central Asia.

In China, every religion has the same position, they will lost focus on religion itself. It's very special in China due to culture, every religion will become secularization. In many countries, Muslim have lower social position, or the whole Muslim country feel discrimination, which will cause people focus on religion to get mental support and identify themselves.

@user-ml2od3dn1r true. And clearly, this is due to your government's way of educating the youth, making them think like religion isn't what feeds you so it's totally fine if you abandon it. (I'm sorry, i'm not sure about the other religion but in Islam this is a taboo, we can only receive what Allah bestows us). And which is why i think, Chinese muslims (or any other religious people) are having a hard time practicing their faith, because in Islam, there are no in betweens. Either you excel in practicing the faith or not practice it at all.Don't get me wrong, i'm not opposing your government. But the way you said it, i feel like you describe muslims as extremely faithful people who neglect their livelihood only for practicing faith. Sorry but muslims are not idle. As much as we want to prepare for the hereafter, we are doing our best to live our lives in this dunya too.

I do not know why but as international student, I can pray 5 times a day. Maybe that’s why younger generation of muslim in China have less concern in Islam. For woman, I also never seen any Chinese muslim students wears hijab unless in restaurant/mosque/neighbourhood. But foreign student can wear hijab. My friend is a salar minority people, one of 56 ethnic in China, and very concern about halal and haram when we went somewhere to eat. I was really impressed and miss my friend so much. some of the Hui were from China and then went to Central Asia to escape war and then returned to China, hence the name "return". Many other Hui people were decedents of medieval time Muslim merchants who married local women. Mongols also recruited some Muslim soldiers from central asia and these soldiers were dispatched and settled and married local women. The blogger is from Yunnan province, southwest part of the China, so possibly his paternal ancestor were central asian merchants or soldiers.

Most of the Hui people are Muslims, but China is a country with freedom of religious belief, so the Hui people can believe in any other religion, so there are Hui people who do not believe in Islam. No ethnic group should be defined by religion, and it is normal that people of any ethnic group can voluntarily believe in any religion. Because Han people can practice any religion of their own free will, it is all legal.

Can you keep uploading such vlogs, you can portray different parts of Bejing from a Muslim's perspective and probably explore more small Muslim communities through-out the city or even China if you get a change. JazakAllahu khayr for sharing this with other Muslims like me who love to know more about other Muslims living in other parts of the world. Are there any Islamic bookstores in mainland China, like Darussalam, IIPH, Dar al-Arqam, Dakwah Bookstore? If yes, you can probably give us a tour of those bookstores as well.
