This video is Useless for someone just trying to access or remove the stupid admin acct that came with your home computer!!! When you 1st boot the comp & set it up you create the admin acct for it however, there is still a hidden admin account from the company that built the computer which has remote access ability!!! HOW DO YA GET RID OF THIS ADMIN acct or at least remove all the permissions that they have??

Whats driving me INSANE is the amount of times this happens to me where i restart my pc entirely and am freely able todo admin things then a week later i cant delete my temp folder and i see extra users and admins again. Im getting honestly tired of PC and im going to consider never owning one again

It isn't there I don't see Local Users and Groups. What do I do every time I try running after burner it doesn't give me the other option it just says To continue enter admin user name or password but I don't know where to do that I am getting really annoyed.

What the video failed to mention is that you have to log in with a local/network account with administrative rights in order to do all of these.

I would love to know where they keep finding this Local Users and Groups section on the Computer Management window. I and MANY OTHERS have yet to have this question answered. All these people doing the SAME DAMN THING but not explaining why some computers have this Local Users and Groups and some do not...

Will this fix the "yes" option on the User Account Control not showing up? I can't see the yes option only the no option.

You only have that with Win10 Pro.....if ya using home version ya won't have it

My built in (Windows 10) backup "ADMINISTRATOR USER ACCOUNT" seems to be totally gone. I can't even get to the C:windows\system32> window to start this process. It's not even letting me do a SYSTEM RESTORE--- because I no longer have Administrator permission, although I am the administrator. I don't even have a guest user option to create another account NOR the Local Users and Groups, in the Computer Management folder. Arrrggg!

May it is a good tutorial indeed but it was trash for me as I did not find the ‘Local Users and Groups’ thingy

I did not have Local Users and Groups through the same process. I had to type it in. When I got there, it said, "This snapin may not be used with this edition of Windows 10. To manage user accounts for this computer, use the User Accounts too in the Control Panel. When I went there, it says that I have all the administrator rights but it doesn't work! :(

windows 10 come with different editions that you can do this. I don't think the windows 10 Home can do this

I'm wondering if my computer is hacked. In my Word Documents, in the Properties, under Security, there is an extra account that says, "Account Unknown(X-X-XX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXX-XXXX)" and it has a long list of numbers where the X's are. Have I been hacked? If so, how can I get rid of this? Also, certain files won't open even across my Gmail attachment, one particular one is my Passcodes file. Wat about SYSTEM account

you need windows 10/11 pro to activate the admin account in that way --BUT-- there is another way to do it. type cmd into search and run it as an administrator. once you have accepted the uac prompt, type in "net user Administrator /active:yes" without the quotation marks and press enter. then go to the lock screen and the administrator account should appear! i hope that helped you all for people stuck on windows 10/11 home. thanks for reading!
