Hi Booktube | I'm a newbie (
I am finally getting around to posting this video (and recording it). Though I have been uploading for a little while, I am still a Booktube newbie, and I thought that now would be a great time to say an official hello.
I found all the questions for the tag courtesy of @wordsandothermalarky2098 when I was searching for the origins. I know that it was originally created way back in 2014, but I really wasn't surfing KZread then!
I'd love you to join me on my journey as I create this channel and try and make a place for myself (a tiny one) in the Booktube community.

Hi, Raye! I'm looking forward to hearing about all bookish things you want to share with us over the course of your channel. From an oldie content creator to a (not so) newbie, welcome aboard. We're so glad to have you here! Thanks for doing the newbie tag so it's easier to find you.

Thank you. There is so much to talk about. I have made a list, but need to be realistic rather than grandiose.
Great video! I loved what you said about your experience in the library. I think I always had full access to our public library, but I do remember in middle school when I found a section that was sort of caged-off where the more - shall we say, "daring works" were shelved. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍

Thank you. In our school library, there was a locked room where books were kept that were specifically for the higher performing students.
Loved this! Great to meet you Raye!

Thank you. Books have been such an important part of my life, I look at my shelves and see so many records of big events in my past.

Thank you.
Nice to see your tag and welcome to the video side of booktube! That's so fun that you also have a podcast. I never really read much fantasy, but I have recently started to explore the genre a bit. I've only read one Stephen King book. It was Fairy Tale, and I have heard that's not his typical writing? I don't like scary or creepy books 😂but I did overall enjoy Fairy Tale.

Fairy Tale is on my TBR and one of my 24 for 24 because it's been sitting on my shelf for over a year, I am looking forward to reading it. I never really considered myself a fantasy reader until I started genre-tagging my bookcase! Thank you for the welcome, I have loved it as a viewer for quite a while.
Fairly new to this book tube malarkey myself. Best wishes. Currently on page 805 of the Count of Monte Cristo. Still got some way to go.

I have been watching for years but only recently decided to sit in front of the camera. How are you enjoying The Count of Monte Cristo?
Hi, the algorithm decided I might like your video. I also love cozy crime. I’m currently on a project reading all my Agatha Christie novels. But I try to focus my channel on the lesser known books. But reading events and challenges take me on a more well known reading path. About reading adult books as a kid. I was never an avid reader when I was young, but my puberty brain loved Uncle Oswald by Roald Dhal. I think I read it when I was 14 or 15.

I don't think I have read that, but then I never really was a fan of Roald Dahl as a kid. I too am doing an Agatha Christie read this year, but just 12 books as part of the Agatha Christie readalong. I am finding some newer books and being reintroduced to old favourites. Do you have a preferred sleuth?

@@beingbookishpod Uncle Oswald is one of his books for adults. I don't really have a favorite, but I like the old people in Richard Osman's detective books. I find them fun.
