Daniela Garcia Estella, Ed.M.'22, is an advocate for higher education equity and mentorship. In her role as assistant director of first-year success at Boston University, Estrella emphasizes the diverse needs of students and the crucial impact mentors can have, from helping with academic choices to emotional support. While at HGSE, she learned the alarming statistics of college stop-outs, and the disproportionate representation of people of color among them, which only reinforced Estrella's commitment to support struggling students.
