That's simply not true. If you dig deeper than top 40 music, there's some great stuff happening over all the genres. It's just evolving and changing. Don't get me wrong, there's some awful stuff out there too, and it seems that's all we hear on the radios, or whatever your listening medium is. Believe me, I never thought I would be an old guy saying "fuxk, the music of today sucks", and yet I do. But I also said that quite a bit of the music that was being made when I was growing up in the 80's and early 90's, sucked. But a lot of it wad great too. And fuxk Nickleback

Album recordings - at least certain single tracks - are reported to have been done in a bathroom. Several artists have said the bathroom is their favourite place to write new songs - Paul Simon, Paul McCartney etc. All because of the special acoustics there ( reverb, strong early reflections ). Coming from the ceramic surfaces.

Simon and Garfunkel have been my favorite for over 50 years, brought me through a lot of tough times as a kid, you did very well sir, Thank You! I could sit and listen to you all night! Even brought me to tears, some happy, some not so much but overall a big smile 🤗. ❤

Very nice!! .. a nice tribute to Paul Simon and reminds of what an accomplished guitar player he is! How Paul wrote the complicated guitar patterns and blended it with perfect melody and lyrics is incredible!

He was given a guitar as a child, and was told never to put it down, and this is the results. Absolutely amazing and I would definitely go see a concert with this gentleman on stage.

There are a few times that I've come across a song and when I hear a remake of it as if it's the original I actually fell in love more with the remake or the alternative version from the first release. That's what I just experienced when you played the cover of homeward bound. How it plays and those lyrics with an older man voice and age that I am and made me want to hear that song like it was a greatly needed glass of water. But the bad part about it is that when I went to go to find the song it didn't hit right. It went too fast and he sounded too young and I was about ready to go and look for your version on the chance you might have done a cover of the song. But all I did was put 'acoustic' at the end of the search query and there is his beautiful old man self playing an acoustic version of the song and it put a tear to my eye because it was exactly that's how I saw it should be. That same happy Melancholy feeling about finally coming home. Putting in all that hard work and all behind you but your happy tired coming home. By with a seasoned voice. I haven't gotten a chance to explore him. Not with a good system. Only gotten to explore his new stuff. Cd from a decade ago, including "so beautiful so what" ect. Feel in love with the man then, this reminded me why i love his voice seasoned compared to when he was young. Like he's signing recollection into the lyrics almost. Something missed when listening to his young voice. Glad I got this short. A share for a share. Thank you.

@@MrOneNyehey I know I’m two months late, but here’s a tip: check out the live at Central Park version of Simon and Garfunkel playing Homeward Bound. That concert has some amazing versions of many of their tunes. It probably won’t scratch the exact itch you’re describing by hearing this version first, but it’s close. That aside, this man plays the heck out of that song, both on guitar and vocally. Beautiful work, and I’m going to check out the cover so thank you for that!

Unbelievable.... 1.I cannot believe that I still remember all the words to those songs. It has been 50 years! 2. Dad can play the guitar while using the bathroom! 3. And, he remembers all of the words, too, just like me! 4. Oh, and he sings them all, beautifully! (Sounds and looks a little like Dickie Smothers from The Smothers Bros.) 🎤🎶🎸✌️ 🎵 ...And yes, without music, life would be flat.

Oh, the memories! I could sing through each of those, although some make me cry for friends who already went "Homeward Bound" and are now sleeping in "The Sounds of Silence" How I miss those I lost in Viet Nam. Some never came home, others came home but left their souls over there. Thank you. Very talented.

Boy you are so lucky to have such a talented father, growing up with music filling your house is such a blessing. Some kids never experience anything of value, they only get yelled at or cussed out. My mother got beat with a big thick leather belt because she misspelled the word cat, she was terrified of her worthless father. He was having affairs with other women and nasty towards his wife and 3 little girls. He died from tuberculosis back in the 30’s and his own mother said it was a blessing that he died. That tells you how bad he was.

I got tears in my eyes. Thank you for taking me "back". I had the LP from their concert in NY.
