Hexachordal Origin of the FONTE

Why is the Fonte so complete?
Why does it sound so restful since it is made up of only two sections?
Why the first section is minor and the second one in major?
Solmisation can help us in finding the right answer!

In your opinion, can this mirrored tetrachord be a possible explanation of the sporadic but not uncommon use, especially in classical period, of the flattened upper nota di volta/nota di sfuggita without modulation? First example that comes in mind is the famous F natural of the piano in the Scherzo of Beethoven's Trio op. 1 n. 2, which some interpreters (mainly in the past) used to correct in F sharp because, you know, the upper limit of fortepiano's extension at the time blah blah but in the end the F natural is intended as perfectly plausible by the composer.
