Wish people would not make ignorant comments about a breed they obviously don't understand... do a little research into the history of the Spanish horse and you'll find they have evolved to be self-carrying, high-stepping and incredibly collected horses over time... this is horsemanship!

I used to train (dressage) with a man who did Spanish riding when he was younger. He still had a Spanish horse at the barn and it moved like that naturally.

What I really personally love about this video, how horses in harness are behaving, they just need a groom or two for the whole bunch, doing their job patiently, because they are taught the proper way, harness horses job is not to pull, but to "be in harness" and that is a lot more than pulling the carriage. Main harness horses job is to learn to stand still and be a quiet good boy or girl :)

beautiful horses. That one in front is looking a little bit nervous from the crowd etc. One question...what is the go with the hooves. Have they got boots on or something or have they just got long feet and long heels. I am sure if their feet were done differently then there would be a lot less foot flicking. The flinging to the side happens in some horses in every breed. It is called "winging". Although these aren't Peruvian Pasos, Peruvians often have this winging movement. It can cause the joints to wear prematurely however and should be taken into consideration depending on the use of the horse.The high knee action of these horses is genetic and you would get this when shod in a standard way i.e. flat shod.

This is taking place in the Bullfight Arena of the city Ronda in the South of Spain , Andalusia. It is a seperate show with horses and chariots. It is done in the Bullfight arena in the the week of the Fair. The first week of September. Then is in the morning of the saturday this horse show and in the afternoon the bullfight Show on Horse called rejonero. The Sunday is the bullfight on foot. If you would like to go, in general is almost whole ronda complete booked for this week.

umm what if the front horse got spooked or disobeyed.... how is it connected?? to the bridle? that means the bridle would come off..the other horse would get spooked, run around with a bridle on the ground,and could get tangled and fall

Yep, the horse probably was soared. It appears that they are in Italy, most of the training methods used there are old fashioned and controversial.

Is het niet zo dat dit soort paarden altijd lood aan hun hoeven krijgen vastgebonden zodat ze hoog opgooien aan de voorkant?? Het ziet er wel mooi uit maar als dat zo is is het echt zielig.

The one in the front def looked like a Peruvian paso. Notice the way the feet do the dish when it is moving towards the camra you can really see it. Also the thick neck high carriage and lots of leg motion. The second one I thought was a paso fino but might be Andalusian. Heck its 2 in the morn Im half awake. hehe. Also this was not a case of soring I despise soring often seen to get the big lick motion in Tennessee walkers. Please don't assume such without facts thats how the bad guys get away

@originalandalucia WTF ikweet niet maar een lerares van paardrijden heeft die meteen gekocht omdat hij mishandeld werd. dushij is niet mishandeld op de manege daarom is hij nu ook 34 jaar dat is dus al heel oud wij gaven hem een beter leven en hij bijt nou ook dus omdat hij bang is dat wij hem mishandelen maar 2 weken geleden is die pony op pension gegaan maar wij mishandelde hem niet.

ik denk niet dat deze paarden mishandeld worden.. Elk paard krijgt wel eens een tik met de zweep, dat is geen mishandeling. Als deze paarden mishandeld zouden worden, zouden ze veel schichtiger/banger zijn.
