I think they should finally let us use heroes when they are upgrading. Maybe make their health regen take twice as long, just like the spell factories, the barrack and workshop train their respective units slowly.

In my Clan, we war even we have incomplete Heroes, it's because we are all friends, we don't care if we lose, as long as we Get loot, (it's better than nothing though). We just play and enjoy the game 😁

People never mention the effect low hero levels have defensively. That’s the main reason I would still upgrade my hero’s early when possible.

theres no actual point of being good defensively, if you manage your resources right, then you wont get attacked. Plus if the guy attacking you isnt a complete idiot he could easily, at least, one star you

@@alexblackfire8327 if you’re rushed, there’s no point in trying to get your defenses to the max level before your heroes/equipment does, being good offensively is so much more useful than defensively, and as I said, if you don’t get 3 starred, it’s usually a misplay from the opponent, a good player will 3 star you anyway

@@Attu9 no one is disputing a good offense is a better defense, and no one upgrades heroes for the defense, but it is a critical component of both. If you're rushed already then yeah you're screwed and need to do that

Best value for me is that if you find clan that allow war even if your heroes get down for upgrade

All clans allow war without heroes, as long as you can 3 star your mirror, which is very possible without a hero or two. It comes down to skill.

Upgrading ur heroes is better to do now than later if u are a maxer/strategic rusher

I mean not really, the whole purpose of upgrading your heroes was to upgrade their abilities but now that’s completely separate and the gear is more important than the hero levels. Upgrading heroes = no war which = no resource for upgrading hero gear. Plus completing abandoning hero upgrades till TH14 makes it so you can get there way faster and then start making the most out of your books

Pro tip: you can also spend your de towards activating super troops. When in excess of de, simply select the super troop you want to booost, cancel and boost until you reach the de amount you desire to store. This way, you can unlock an achievement and receive gems, so it isn't wsted

This hero potion update has been terrible for my lower level clan. The other clan will have tons of rushed higher town halls so we match them with war weight. Then they use hero potions and crush everyone aside from me as I'm a th 16. They got rewarded for rushing their heros. People that put no time in to upgrading heros should not have the same attack capabilities as someone who has taken the absurd amount of time to max their heros.

I mean if upgrading defenses are active during wars why shouldn't be heroes?

Find a clan that war all the time 30-40 participants where upgrading your heroes isn't a concern, you just have to hit lower. Our clan win/loss ratio is impressive, 3-1.

I used to think he was accurate. But he's off base telling people not to upgrade heros. Upgrade ur heros. Potions aren't realistic unless ur talking a second account. Also if coc devs think Meta is to not upgrade heros, they will change thay real fast and everyone will regret not upgrading

Our clan doesn't care much on winning or losing in wars even if we start a war with all heroes undergoing upgrades. All we care about is getting those loots and ores and having fun.

You can actually do hero upgrades that are 3 days long (or at least 2.5 days) without stopping on War. Do your 2 attacks ASAP, within the hour. Then, upgrade your hero. Battle Day should take another day, lets say that you take 3 hours between Battle Day ending and you finding a Clan to war against. Then another Preperation day which is 23h long. So you still have 23h left on hero upgrade. So squeeze in your two war attacks in the last hour of Battle Day.

Just bite the bullet and upgrade your heros, you'll wish you had. You only get 3 potions a week, so farming is gonna suck. Hero lvls are important on defense to. Anybody who thinks hero lvls dont matter, doesnt know what they are talking about.

I’m not a fan of only being able to be affective with heroes when I have a hero potion. It means I can’t do well in normal attacks and I can’t do friendly challenges either, so for that reason I will continue to play the “old way” and grind my heroes at the beginning of a new TH level

With hero potion changes, I wouldnt bother upgrading heroes hardly at all unless you have hero books. A lot of stats of the heroes are now tied to hero equipment, so you wanna level those up and war as often as possible to get ores. And for those wars, you can just use hero potions anytime you need max heroes. Having high level heroes is not important for farming with sneakies.

I personally feel there should be a decrease in the cost of the hammer of heroes as upgrading just one hero level is kinda waste now (as the abilities are now no longer getting upgraded every 5 levels of the hero). Also, there can be a new item in the League shop, called the Hammer of Equipment which can upgrade any hero equipment by one level in just one hit.

I have been upgrading heros for years using hammers and books. Never missed a clan war. It takes a bit longer waiting on books to show up but its free

Classic wars now are important than ever due its ores. In my case, I tend to upgrade all my heroes at the same time whenever there are builders available. Attack strategy wise I can't fully maximize the effectiveness of my strat that i am using due to heroes availability. I hope someday, SC will grant us to use heroes at least in wars.

My clan just doesn’t really care about heroes being up during regular clan wars. Even with the ore rewards, it’s just about getting what you can during those clan wars. CWL we have to have heroes up, but not regular wars.

Gold pass monthly is the best value in game, usually has 2 hero books too

We have more than 90% win rate and we sometimes have streak of 14-15 wars win constantly, its hard for us to upgrade our heroes as we are in war and we have to win. I really hope supercell makes it so that we can use heroes in war even with upgrading.

After a perfect 21 star clan war league, I forgot to set change my war preference and didn't have queen or warden when clan queued for war. Got 2 zero star attacks. Definitely not worth warring when heros are down.

the hero upgrade that does not matter that much is Grand warden, bcoz u use him for his ability. u might be better off investing boh on queen or rc.

@@randall517 it's an option. While u have to upgrade more than 30+ levels to get good book value. But with queen she gets with 60 + . Which is not that hard. And she will much more flexibility for the army . While warden won't give u many strategies to work with .

@venkatsaipadishala1916 while I will agree that the Q is stronger say in a Q walk, your avg player cant Q walk very well at the higher lvls. The warden walks are more forgiving and strong as well. But I upgrade my Q and Warden simultaneously anyways. Always the first 2 to finish.

how many levels do you think is enough for warden for a th12?

can you make a video on how to properly start a clan, and advice for clan building or maintaining existing clan, to get more players etc, because almost no KZreadrs have covered this area and the videos I can find are really old. and arent relevant anymore

So since I’m at town hall 9 I shouldn’t upgrade my heroes until 14? So they are going to be lvl 1 and 20 until then? Won’t my heroes be way to low when I battle? Am I always going to have to use a potion?

My clan is great, we war as much as possible, except on holiday weeks like christmas or halloween or thanksgiving, but they also dont care if you have all heroes or not for regular clan wars, we dont do regular wars to win, we do it for practice and for loot, however you will have to have all heroes up for cwl so i have had to drop about 2000 gems on books because of bad time management on my end

I have decided not to go to the 16 immediately because I want to war with all my heroes up to upgrade new equipmen. I've got everything maxed (except walls of course) at the 15

You can also upgrade hero's constantly, and play war in another clan. If you have 5 accounts or 1 co-leader account in an inactive clan with enough players, you can farm ores passively by losing wars in that clan. That way you can progress your heroes and equipement the most efficient and not screw over your main clan by sucking at war.

I just keep 1 hero down because my job in the clan is just to get 1 or 2 stars on the highest th with sneaky goblins and the higher th's attack my bases

Even as a strategic rusher I think this update really messed up the game at least temporarily. Hero Potions are way too strong while being laughably easy to access. Like you said upgrading heroes has significantly diminished in terms of importance. Supercell should revert the Hero Potion change or make it harder to access while reworking the hero upgrade process. Either have heroes usable during upgrades (perhaps with some minor downside such as increased healing time/slightly lower stats) or cut the time and resource requirements to a fraction of what they are rn. These are just my opinions so lmk what you think.

Bro i already have 35 king 49 queen 33 warden so i just cannot up them manually even with builder portion trick although i have level 1 rc so still i can get to her at least So bro should i stop considering all of them except rc untill she gets to level 5+ at least or should i stop for a couple of wars to get through those levels

@ lightningdragon666 I totally agree SuperCell should just allow use of them during war. They already allow buildings that are building to be active during war like defenses.

You should be able to 3 star any base 1th lower than yours without 1 hero. So train yourself to swag atleast 1 hero in every attack. You should be able to continuously upgrade 1 hero at a time .

I am th13 almost maxed and i just do both.😅 i am 13 in war so i just 2 star number 1/2 what i am consistently doing against th16s so my clan doesnt care to much.

What is the most valuable thing for each town hall to buy with gems?

I am top1 in my clan and have been upgrading 2 heroes at once me and the top 2,top 3 is th14 and we won some wars.now as the #1 of my clan I stopped upgrading so i can get 3* on nb 1 and 2 so we don't lose wars anymore.i am at th 15 and my queen is already maxed so from after the cwl and on i will only be upgrading 1 hero at a time and another one whenever i get a book

I dunno something about having squishy ass hero’s and supplementing that with placebo potions doesn’t sit right with me

So I gotta upgrade: BK & AQ to lvl 35 GW to lvl 25 RC to lvl 8 (lvl 10 with books) before rushing to TH16?

@@unclecid2460 hammer of heroes saves you from needing dark elixer... which is worth it in my opinion... plus you get to practice with heroes up all the time... if you constantly have heroes down you are missing out of clan War, loot, gear mats... using hammers on anything non dark elixer based is a waste

When you use hammer of heroes you are able to work on skill of attacking and the heroes defensive power... when you work with hammer of building you are aren't helping your attack at all and you are only saving gold which is so easy to acquire... I guess me being a fully max town hall 15 before I moved to town hall 16 gave me an edge... I would only use a hammer of fighting or spells for dark elixer troops. Dark elixer is much harder to get

There is already a level limit on the blacksmith so you can't have lv 18 equipment with lv 10 hero's I think that's enough

Why cant supercell just make upgrading heroes the same as upgrading defences for clan wars so that you upgrade them but during war they are available just on the lower level (the one it has right now aka before the upgrade is finished)

So you would rather invest on hero potions than research potions? Came back as a th8 this Sept and now a TH 14 with max queen and unicorn. Kinda feels bad

or just have some patience and upgrade every hero at the same timr for minimum disruption

Yo bro I have been watching you for more than a year and I am a th 11 player (in traditional way of playing) so basically I have realized that it will take a lot of time to reach th16 and to enjoy the added stuffs to game so please make a guide video for me to how can I reach th16 fast and my bade,heroes, etc stay powerfull as I am a regular war player And including that I have already decided that no matter what th level I am I will only upgrade my wall to lvl 12 and after my base is fully maxed according to th16 then I am going to start upgradeibg my walls becos yk walls take a lot of time and there are many troops/spells/siege machines which break our wall,jump over our walls etc so like these give me some tips for my journey to th16 as fast as possible and please. Make sure by base stays strong according to each th level as I play wars -thanks

sometimes I just use a heroes-less war strategies and aim for 2 stars minimum in CW. and just skip CWL

Another strategy is to have a war once a week, preferably on the weekend, because the hero upgrade at higher level is around 7-8 days. After finishing your attack, immediately put your heroes down.

This video for noobs. My method for maxing my heroes put them down upgrading tell CWL and in wars just get two stars easy without any heroes at all.

why not make the heroes available on wars like defenses even while upgrading? if the devs still wants some downside then they can do stuff like sleeping/upgrading heroes cannot be boosted by hero potion something like that. but not totally disabled like what it was more than a decade ago up to now. hope the devs consider this especially war is one of the main source of ores. its the sense of the game to make clans clash. always go to war. not to wait on the sideline baby sitting your sleeping heroes.

How do you strategically max/rush?

Its not usable when your heros gets 4days or more upgrade time ,we must play war without heros or skip war.. Best thing to do is upgrade heros as much as u can and get into a clan where you can play war without heros.. Supercell should let us use heros in cwl even if heros on upgrade.allowing on upgrade heros on normal war will be too much freedom
