Idea: on April first have a big item frame sale. Place item frames on the walls, floor, ceiling, and exterior of the shop. It will lag out the sever. Charge one diamond to buy and remove each item frame. You can use the lag of products on display to hold the server ransom. That’s definitely just an April fools day thing though.

They forgot to mention that said freedom came with so many obligations you couldn't actually get more than 20mins of free time every day, and that you usually use these to watch Mumbo's last video. So yeah, enjoy your camera if you ever get it

Am I the only one who loves this style of Mumbo videos? He is not focused on building the biggest or most complex builds but rather spending an episode on a very thoughtful item frame shop. It reminds me of season 4 where getting overpowered the quickest wasnt as important as playing the game at your own pase. These episodes no longer feel like a job but more as a passion.

Mumbo definitely outdid himself with this shop build. It has a great concept to it, the blocks all work together, the gradient is Fabolous, and the interior feels nice and organic.

Mumbos new style of content suits him a lot. I really like his new focus of taking the game at his own speed, and his building skills have really come along!

It makes me really happy when KZreadrs keep their mistakes or doubts is their videos. It makes them feel more like really humans as a poses to some weird perfect characters in a tv show.

Like ya'll have just been expanding the different builder-types on the server and it's creating such a diverse piece of art!!!

5:54 You see how the bottom of the Iron Bars keep flickering there? That's called z-fighting. The two surfaces are the exact same distance from the camera, so it's up to rounding errors which one ends up being displayed. This can be fixed with a simple resource pack that puts the Iron Bars bottom a tiny bit higher up.

Problem Statement: Item frames are agreeably tedious to manually gather up but when you look into automating it, the economies of scale are off the charts. Idea: In an hour or 2, you could make a hoglin farm for leather, and a nether tree farm for sticks (could autocraft the logs and put the remaining wart blocks towards the monopoly) - both capable of supplying you with enough materials to make thousands of item frames/h. edit: for those suggesting bamboo farm for sticks, that could also work although it'd be more laggy as you'd need to produce 16x more bamboo than logs and you don't get wart blocks on the side

Build those suckers together near another farm that will be loaded often on the nether roof. Sort and funnel the overflow of logs and leather into an autocrafter setup to solve manual crafting BS like you said (or even better ad hoc the hoglin farm/autocrafter setup onto someone else's nether tree farm overflow instead of having it go to lava/fire so they inadvertently AFK it for you once in awhile). Totally passive setup (other than AFKing the log farm if you don't go the ad hoc route once in awhile). Just grab a few shulker boxes of frames every time you need to re-up the shop (which should be named: " 'The Hole in the Wall' Frame Shop " for obvious reasons lol) A nice little (new content producing) redstone build upfront means you nvr need to mess around with grinding, crafting or inventory management ever again. Honestly the autocrafter is the best thing the hermits ever could have asked for (minus expanded inventory of course) and they for the most part reacted nonplussed and are basically ignoring it. I halfway expected to see a few new reengineered farms with ingenious autocrafter functionality coming from the gigachad redstoners every week or so. Cub has done a couple with the torch and rocket farms but most don't seem to yet grasp what a QoL upgrade it truly is yet... Complacency really is the killer of creativity it seems...

@@Stormtalon42 a nether tree farm that can be built in 40 minutes can make 100 thousand logs an hour i.e. 800k sticks. to replicate that same ratio of speed you'd need to make a bamboo farm that makes 1.6 *million* bamboo an hour and anything like that would lag the server out and take way too long to build tldr: yes bamboo works but nether trees are more efficient and serve the wart block monopoly too

Where the shop is being built to look like the front pops out of the item frame, the 'building in a building' idea works great! It would almost be like crossing over into a living painting and I love it

This is my favorite part of art. The experimentation, trying something new, something unfamiliar. Exploring new territory, not sticking to tried and true methods. So go out there, put a build inside of a build, not with a guarantee that it will look good, but with the enrichment that comes with uncovering the new.

I love seeing how far Mumbo has come over the years from being the "I do redstone, I'm not a builder" guy, to seeing how much love and care he puts into every detail of a build. It adds such richness to the world. ❤

I love that half of Mumbo’s building technique is deciding something doesn’t line up right and then trying to fix it, ultimately leading to an unintended yet better final product.

Mumbo, Frame of reference is a good shop name. You could even give out textured pixel art references to previous seasons. For example Grumbot, 12 bamboo, Frost Embers, Doc's Bush. Etc.

I don't know if this idea will sell but what you can do is different levels of item frames with leather harvested from free-range, organic or pasture based farms each with increasing price, can add bartered one in it too

You can make a nice 5 min Hoglin farm for infinite leather, and bamboo makes sticks, so you could have an AFK item frame farm in one place with an auto crafter.

This is one of the coolest natural builds you have made. The frame is def spot on, and the grass block looks like it could hav been done by any of the “master builders” in hermitcraft. Nice job.

Mumbo should have organic sourced item frames in one shop, and make them cost more, and have industrial sourced item frames which cost less, but make the hermits feel bad about buying their item frames from the non-organic shop.

I can’t wait for the Hermitcraft recap where they recap Mumbo recapping. Also the arch at 19:53 should be shaped like a Mumbo Mustache. Just saying. (It’s already almost there.)

I really like the item frame shop. You’ve taken nearly the most basic Minecraft block palate, and done something genuinely inventive with it. The bamboo garden and green roof interior really tie it all together. Great work Mumbo!

I like how Mumbo completely arbitrarily chose 1 diamond for 16 item frames and then was upset the entire episode at how unreasonably cheap that is THEN CHARGE MORE We can add economics to the list of skills mumbo does not have
