I love the difference between builders telling a story and redstoners telling a story. Grian: This is a fishing dock, so I want to build a decorative crane hanging over the water. Gem: I also want to build a decorative crane to hang over the water in my fishing village. Mumbo: These imaginary people can't reach their shops from the forest. Dude I’m so proud of mumbo, he’s really getting away from the block spam builds, and moving towards builds with uniform gradients and chaos with a purpose! His builds are genuinely looking so sick!

I genuinely think this is one of the prettiest Minecraft forests I've ever seen. It captures the _feel_ of a forest, almost like a diorama or something like that - exaggerated and elegant and super beautiful.

Mumbo: *robs Grian of wheat* Mumbo afterward: *finds his storage system commandeered by a pair of snails scarpering off with Scar's diamond ores*

I disagree and would argue the opposite actually. The permit is for iron AND gold so you would have to be stocked with iron AND gold. So if *EITHER* is out you would be in violation bc it’s no longer iron and gold it would be just iron or just gold

I think that's partially what Mumbo is going for, and once more buildings get added to the ledge I think it will balance it out, especially since Mumbo mentioned in the previous episodes that he's planning on putting overhanging builds further to the left on the ledge, I think that will work quite well.

The thing I love about watching your building process, is that you keep breaking "established" norms in the building community. Like, I LOVE that you overcrowded the forest. Someone needs to get the 'apartment selling' permit, and then charge iskall half of his earnings and become a business partner. If mumbo did it, they could start up a a real-estate company and call it 'sahara real-estate' or 'sahara...a shady business'.

I love how the elevator is slow, makes it feel sort of massive and powerful, like it was intended to be used to move some very heavy things. If it moved faster, I wouldn't trust it to lift me alone, let alone something heavy with me!

Mumbo really fears no one except a Grian with his redstone. Yet every season, without fail they're neighbors (with Scar as well) and im so happy they are because its my favourite trio

I love hearing your thought process about different builds and seeing how much you've grown as a builder - maybe it would be fun to take a leaf out of pearl's book and tour one of the other hermits around the new stuff you've added? I'd love to see their reactions :D

The elevator's slow speed adds to the world's lived-in atmosphere and allows you to pause and enjoy it, which is something I like.

Hermitcraft 10: The season where nobody wants to actually sell anything, because maintaining a shop takes work.

13:42 - If you assume each block is one cubic meter, the elevator in Walker Memorial at MIT is actually slower.

Awesome terraforming Mumbo! Now, about the gold farm: The gold ingots automatically go into the bartering farm. The bartering outputs all kinds of things (preferably into a storage system). For mumbo most importantly leather and gravel. The leather can be used to craft item frames. If Mumbo also makes a bamboo farm he can autocraft that bamboo into sticks allowing itemframes to also be autocrafted. This creates AFK'able item frames when using the gold farm overnight. The gravel can possibly be used to make a trade deal with whoever has has that permit. Mumbo can allow that hermit to use his bartering farm to get gravel for a small weekly fee, thus also 'automating' the afk'ing part of the equation. It's even possible to make an inefficient iron farm near the gold farm to also have a small passive income of iron. The current owner of the sand&gravel permit should be Scar. He's the type that would just mine it for hours, so if you (Mumbo) want someone else to AFK for you, ask him quickly before he start doing that. Though it might just be better to have Scar as far away from your farm as possible, with his reputation... 😂 Good luck! Edit: Check your Hermit Mail, you're going to be building a volcano! (See Grians latest video) Edit 2: I just saw a comment by @therealswitt4554 that Mumbo should make shop-owner themed skins for each of his buildings. If you agree, go show their comment some love!

The reason the elevator is slow is obviously because it needs more torque to reliably transport heavy loads. Great thinking, Mumbo!

Mumbo is a builder. I've been actively following how you progressed in building since around season 7. And I can confidently say that your builds have become absolutely amazing. The forest is chef's kiss and seeing you walking through it gave me goosebumps especially near the river.

I have found, when playing on multiplayer servers, that just giving some audio feedback is enough to placate the button spammers. So a take piston and stick it behind the wall, so when they hit the button they hear something. It doesn't actually have to do anything, just make some noise. It is like a loading bar, as long as it is moving, everything will be just fine, "working as intended". Also, as a prank for Grian, just take a block and put a button on it. It'll drive him crazy for at least a moment.

Honestly this is like the perfect mumbo jumbo video. Complex redstone and problem solving, yet it doesn't clash with the builds he's making, AND there's funny clips every now and then :)

Sandstone actually comes in many colours. It depends on the geography and every place having sandstone has their unique colour and texture. I honestly love seeing different types of Sandstone IRL they are one of my favourite things in nature.

I really wish that one season, every builder gets paired up with a red stoner. And they should work together to make the most extravagant redstone bases, and the builders job is to keep it all hidden and pretty.

Mumbo has leveled up like 30 times this episode, although I can't believe he didn't buy any diamonds from the snails lol

I love how Mumbo doesn't do any further investigations into the Snails and just sorta moves on after discovering them. But i want to see a snail with a moustache, so it's also kinda disappoining.

yeah. i personally would gathered up the diamond blocks and snails and put them in a 2 thick box of obsidian with an iron bar window so they couldn't escape and asked who was missing a chopper. maybe even name every block of obsidian too

Your work on terraforming and aesthetic building has improved by leaps and bounds, and you have done an amazing job. Frankly, this is wonderful work on researching the appearance of things (though it should be noted that sandstone comes in a TON of colors, based entirely on the particulate that forms it - look it up online, there's some really gorgeous colors of sandstone). The attention to detail has been fantabulous, and you should feel proud of your work *and* your improvement.

Mumbo I literally started clapping at the 4 minutes mark, you've really outdone yourself with terraforming, absolutely well done and your creativity with organics has come so far absolutely stellar, Mumbo, I'm literally giving you a round of applause right now, and that forest is such a beautiful place to walk, I can't wait until it gets even bigger, I wish that was an entire biome

You're not going to see this among the other comments, but this is the best you have landscaped ever. The reasons that you describe all the details you mention. It's how bdubs and scar and keralis and... Think of how everyone uses the word "lore" you are just giving reason for detail. You described the forest well and in great detail.
